Chapter 10

Sorry for not uploading the day before yesterday. Been hella busy! Anyways like always.. Enjoy!!

(Skylar's POV)

I was watching May as I got dressed. Her eyes drifted towards me then snapped right back to the wall in front of her. I could tell she wanted to look, but didn't want to make things awkward. "I'm done." She turned around to see my wardrobe. As soon as she looked she was speechless.

I was wearing skinny jeans with a sleeping sirens tank top and slip on vans. One was Gir from Invader Zim and the other was Pierce the Veil. This was my usual wardrobe, but the first day I wanted to make some good impressions on teachers.

Only thing was that I never got to meet any except my English teacher. I took a look at May and she took in air, as if she was holding her breathe this whole time. "Damn, you are beautiful! Yesterday you were..." She trailed off. I helped her finish the sentence "a prep?" I giggled as she nodded a little embarrassed for thinking it.

I grabbed my bag and headed out the door. The good thing is that my dad was in his room and my brother was probably still asleep. We headed out and drove to pick up the rest of May's best friends, Leigh and Chey. When they both got into the car they gave May a look of satisfaction and then a huge smile at me. I was a little confused of the looks.

We finally had arrived at school. We hung out in the morning then went to class. The day went by so slow. Till 2nd rolled around. We had assigned seats in this class and was way to far from May. I didn't know anyone. Our teacher began class. I did all my work in no time.

The teacher stood up and started speaking to the class. "Okay class. Please listen up because this is important. I know A LOT of you are failing so this is not an option for any students regardless of grades. You will be partnering up randomly to do a project. Each Project will be different so there isn't cheating. I have already made the list of who is partnering with who."

 He took out a piece of paper and started to go down the list. I was having a mini panic attack any time he said a name. I looked over at May and she smirked and gave me a wink. I was a little confused until the teacher finally called May's name. "May and Skylar. You two will be partners." I looked back at May and she just smiled. Why do I have a feeling that wasn't a coincidence? At least I will be more comfortable doing this project with someone I already know.
