(Skylar's POV)

May asked to go in for me, but I knew her going alone inside that house was a bad idea. Plus, if we both went in together that would be a whole other mess of trouble.

"No, it's fine. If I'm not back in 10 minutes though... come find me." I didn't bother for a reaction or answer. I got out and went straight for the door.

I hesitated thinking of other options, but if I bring May in it would be worse if my brother was here. I openes the door and went straight to my room.

I didn't check to see if my dad or brother was home. I didn't care. I wanted to get my stuff and leave as quickly as possible.

I grabbed a bag and shoved enough clothes in to last me the rest of the week. I had spent only 2-3 minutes. I wanted to get out of here as quick as possible.

I turned around and hit something. It felt like a wall cause it didn't budge. I looked up and saw my brother standing there as I regained balanced.
