Hope everyone likes my story so far. Sorry for not uploading recently. Also I did make a change on one of the characters. Kay is now Leigh. It will make more sense later on in my story

(Skylar's POV)

I thought about how all this started. When my mom left it was all down hill from there with my dad.

*Flashback*

I was awaken by screaming. "You're not the man I fell in love with anymore! You care more about other things then saving this relationship!" I saw my mom standing in the kitchen with a red face and a suitcase beside her. My dad was standing there dumbfound. He didn't seem like he knew what to say. '"I'm leaving you the kids. Maybe you can make them happier then you have made me." My mom said. "Wait, you can't do this Clare. Please think about the church. What will people think of me? A preacher that was left wifeless and abandoned her childern. What will they think of you?" My mom got to a new shade of dark red. "I don't care what people think of me. Their lives are probably just as messed up as mine!"

I was about to walk in, but my brother grabbed my arm and put a finger to his lip. I stayed where I was in silence looking at my parents.

"Clare, please think about our children. Please." Dad was pleading. My mom headed towards the door and my brother took me upstairs and put me back in bed. He tucked me in and left the room without another word.

* Flashback ends*

I whipped up my tears and looked around the room. I saw my clothes thrown on my floor. My bottle of perfume smashed against the wall.  All my under clothing on my bed and my lamp knocked over. My room was destroyed. I knew why and who. My dad got so drunk a couple yrs ago and trashed my room, but in return found my stash of money. I was planning to move out when I had enough. Some of this was my brother's doing as well. He was holding a grudge against me.

I took another look at my room. I started cleaning my room. I looked for my money first. It was safe and all there.

I laid down on my bed afterwards and stared at the ceiling. I felt a vibrate in my pants. I pulled out my cell phone to see that I had a text from a random #.
