Chapter 10

(Skylar's POV)

I was watching May as I got dressed. Her head kept turning then snapping right back to the wall in front of her. I could tell she wanted to look, but didn't want to make things awkward.

"I'm done." She turned around to see my wardrobe. As soon as she looked at me she was speechless. I was wearing skinny jeans with a sleeping with sirens tank top and slip on vans. I had two bracelets. One was Gir from Invader Zim and the other was a Pierce the Veil.

She took in some air as if she was holding it this whole time. "Damn, you are beautiful! I've never seen you look like this. Yesterday you were..." she trailed off. I helped her finish her sentence "a prep?" I giggled as she nodded guilty for thinking it.

I grabbed my bag and we headed out the door. The good thing is that dad was in his room and my brother was probably still asleep.

We drove and picked up May's best friends, Leigh and Chey. When they both saw me they both gave May a look of satisfaction and then a huge smile at me. Which confused me. Then May gave them death glares.

We had finally arrived to school. We hung out for a bit then went to class. The day went by slow till 2nd period rolled around. We had assigned seats in this class and the teacher had pointed to what seat I was in.

I was way to far from May. I didn't know anyone. This was mid-semester and it was technically my first day. Since yesterday I was with May the whole time.

Our teacher began class. I did all my work in no time. The teacher got up from his desk after seeing several students done.

"Okay class, listen up because this is important! I know A LOT of you are failing so this is not an option for any students regardless of grades. You will be partnering up randomly to do a project. Each project will be different so there isn't any cheating issues."

He went back to his desk and pulled out a piece of paper. He started to read kids names off and their partners. I was having a panic attack beacuse I didn't know who was going to be my partner.

"Skylar..." he looked at the paper and I anticipated my partner's name. "You'll be with May." My heart fluttered and looked over at her. She winked at me and gave me a smirk. I don't think this was a coincidence.

When class was over May grabbed me before I left. "So when do you want to start this project?" I looked at her thoughtfully. "Umm.. tomorrow or tonight. Whatever works best for you." She gave me a smile. "How about tonight and tomorrow? You can just sleepover the rest of this week with me if you would like. That way we can get this done." I nodded. "I have to stop by my hose to pick up my clothes. Is that alright?" I asked shyly.  "Of course it is. It's on the way to my place anyways." May said.

The rest of the day went by slow. It was finally 4th period. I had those damn butterflies again for some reason. I just really couldn't help feeling this way towards May. I had an urge to see her already.
