(May's POV)

I woke up on a bed with a massive headache and blurry vision. I heard footsteps coming my was and then a soft unfamiliar voice saying something. I finally got a hold of my vision. I saw the school nurse hovering over me. "How are you feeling sweetie?" Gosh bitch, I'm feeling lovely after getting punched by a table! "I'm fine, just a headache." I'm to nice to speak my mind. She handed me some pills and water. I swallowed them down and noticed a gorgeous girl staring at me worried. I took a look at her and yes, I was checking her out. She had wavy light brown hair that reached half way down her back. Hawaian tan skin that made her emerald eyes sparkle and the most curvy body I've ever seen. I was curious of who she was and why she was sitting next to me. "Umm.. Hi.. I'm Skylar." I smiled at her beacuse she was just as shy as me. Which made me feel more comfortable. "Hi Skylar, my name is May. Nice to meet you." She smiled back and zoned out. "Skylar? You alright?" She looked at the floor before she spoke "well.. I feel kinda bad about all this. I just got here and I gave someone a concussion on my first day." I started laughing which made my head hurt a bit. I saw that she looked a little sad. "I'm sorry, honestly I'm fine though. At least you made a friend in a weird sorta way. No one likes to hear about how they met someone in a classroom or something boring." Her eyes lit up when she realized that she had made a friend on her first day. The nurse walked over to the both of us. "Well, if you two are done and you're feeling better than you can go to class. School is almost over, but 4th just got started." Holy hell! How long was I passed out!!??

(Skylar's POV)

I sat on the bus not talking to anyone. I was stared at by many boys and some girls. I didn't like the attention I was getting on my first day. I shifted in my seat uncomfortabley. I took out my mp3 player and hit a random playlist. The first song to pop up was Chainsaw by Family Force 5. After about 5 songs we pulled up to the front of the school. I waited for everyone to get off. I was in NO rush to go anywhere. I saw most groups going towards what seemed to be a cafeteria. I walked in and I was right. It was a cafeteria. I scanned the crowd of strangers for an empty table. I saw 3 girls and an empty table beind them. I walked towards it and sat down right behind one girl with jet black hair. I put on my earbuds again and let the music take me from the world. I could hear the bell ringing not to long after. I started talking off my headphones and got up rather quickly after seeing most of the cafeteria empty.

I felt someone hit me and I fell forward, but caught myself in time. I turned around to see if the other person was ok. The girl I sat behind with the jet black hair was now on the floor in front of me. I could still see her breathing so I didn't panic to much. I rushed over to the nearest person I could find for help, which happened to be a lunch lady. She must have seen the whole incident because she had already called for help. I went back to the girl laying on the ground. I felt so clumsy and guilty. I heard people running over towards me and telling me to back up. What seemed to be a gym teacher, picked up the girl and started walking towards another building. I walked right behind him the whole time. I told the nurse everything that happened after she was laid down on a bed. I was truly worried for her well being and had to beg the nurse to let me sta to make sure she was okay. The nurse finally gave in.

I sat down next to the girl and asked the nurse if she knew her name. "Her name is May." I asked her if she knew anything else about May. "Well she's 17, She's really shy. She's an honor student and keeps even our biggest trouble makers out of trouble. It may be because they are all friends though. She's a good kid though." I smiled and the nurse spoke again "listen, I have to go to a meeting. She isn't hurt badly. She just needs to sleep it off for a bit. I'll be back before she wakes up though, ok?" I shook my head in understanding at her before she left. I looked over at May and she looked so peacful just sleeping. I wanted to crawl next to her and cud--- 'NO SKYLAR! You're not allowed to think that way!' My dad's voice intruded my thoughts. I shook my head hoping to stop the yelling from my dad inside my head. After a couple of hours passed by, I saw May moving her eyes. The nurse had came back way before May woke up like she promised. She was now advancing towards May. She asked me if she was waking up. I replied with a nod. The nurse talked to her after she woke up and I sat there staring worried at her soft brown eyes. She looked confused almost. She looked at me after a minute and smiled without saying anything. I broke the ice by introducing myself. I felt like I was stuttering. She did the same back and then just stared at me. I felt like I was melting in her eyes. I started to zone out again until I head her ask if I was ok. I replied with telling her how sorry i felt. She laughed and I felt a little hurt because I thought she didn't forgive me. She apologized and said she was fine. The nurse came by after a while and told us we could go back to class. I grabbed my stuff and got out of the chairthat i had been sitting in for hours. May grabbed her stuff as well and we both stepped into the hallway before looking at one another.
