This book is a real page turner from the first page to the last so it is easy to see what Kelly was the 2014 Winner of the Wattys, USA Today Bestselling Author and why this film has now been optioned as a film.The first pages you don't want to put the book down, you have to know what happens next. The start is so intense with the initial capture and the details that follow.
Without giving the away too many details of the story to spoil your read, the true reason for the capture of the main character Abriana is so shocking, it is hard to comprehend that someone so close to her, could be so jealous and treat her in such a way. It makes you shudder in realisation.As the story progresses, you learn that the person behind the kidnap knows no bounds; when the person they had enticed to help them ends up in hospital with their life in the balance.
There is a twist at the end of the book, so you want to shout out to the main character "don't go away with them alone – you can't trust them – you're in danger" when Abriana's end up going away for a short trip with the last person she can trust, due to the rest of the family's food being tampered with.
As the last pages unfold, the main character comes into her own and the ending is not what many would expect.
This is not your usual thriller.
I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good suspense/thriller, this does not disappoint.
