Book Review: Shaun Allan's story is different to most, as it's emotionally led from the heart and soul of the main character who has been unfortunately named Sin and whose parents are the type you despise rather than hanker over.

We walk through Sin's life, current, past and present in his shoes, sharing his deepest thoughts and preconceptions as his eyes are widened to reveal the truth. Yet even at times when his life is at its darkest Sin's sharp wit never fails to make the reader smile with his ironic stance. Sin and his sister Joy are like ying and yang in that they are complete opposites but still bound by sibling love and affection. Don't make assumptions too early on as to how the land lies, as the writer surprises you with twist after twist until you cannot help but see Sin with affection and cheer him on through his endeavour to discover the truth. As Sin's sister Joy takes his hand and leads him through a rocky path of discovery, Sin learns Dr Connor's real motives and how the Doctor has misused his position of trust to make the Asylum prosper regardless of the cost, when secret files are uncovered.

One should never under estimate that a flip of a coin can do so much.

I have really enjoyed this book...

This book is like an onion, layers of stories, that link to each other, a book for readers who like to think. It's easy to see from the first page what has made this book so successful on and off Wattpad and Watty winner for 2016.
