It's not surprising that this Aunt and Niece duo have recently hit the number one spot in Sci-Fi with this heart warming novel. At the time of writing this review they are currently at number 3.

They have used the fact there are two writers here to great effect by writing from both perspectives of the two main characters here. Overlapping at strategic points incredibly effectively.

I don't want to give the plot away but we have Maddie and Travis who live in a world where the survival of the human race is considered at risk. A plague has hit the world and women who can bear children are expected to be breeding machines and not have a life as we know it.

America is closed off from the rest of the world and those who do not want to be restricted by the police state that America has become, run for a better life to Canada is thought to be the free world.

Girls are tested to see if they are able to conceive and if they are found to a fertile they are taken immediately from their families for the good of nation – never to be seen of again.

Love is hard to find in this world.

Our star crossed lovers have known each other since they were children but never voiced their feelings.

Maddie discovers she has started ovulating and begins her period. Terrified she will put her family at risk she runs telling no one, hoping to find the free nation.

Travis on learning that she has run realises he will never rest until he finds her, no matter what he has to do to achieve that.

I'm not going to tell you the end – read the book to find out what happens. It's hard to put the book down as you get so involved with the characters and their story that you have to know what happens next.

The end of the book focuses on another couple mentioned in the book and it looks as if their story will be highlighted next.

The girls love interaction and are great at responding to comments – so do let them know when you are reading the book and what you think of that chapter if you have the time.
