I looked around at the sea of faces listening to me intently as I told them about my plans for the tour. "But we don't even have a name yet adam!" the half blonde half brown haired girl said. "Im still working on it Ashley its got to be glam and glitter. With leather, feathers and top hats" I mused pacing the floor. "But it needs to be something that will catch the whole nations eye" monte replied. "How about the glam nation tour?" a voice piped up as I followed it to tommy. I considered it for a while, "hmm I like it" I answered.
"So where are we touring?" Ashley questioned, "im not sure about that" I snapped rubbing the bridge of my nose. " When does it start?" tommy questioned, "a weeks time" monte answered probably sensing my annoyance. "Ok I vote we take a break!" monte said, "sounds great 4 hours in a room gets kinda brain numbing" Ashley said standing. "Im going to stretch my legs" I answered leaving the room and heading outside, I leant on the barrier of the balcony as I sighed quietly. "Hey!" someone called as I turned and saw monte, "what was that in there? Snapping at Ashley?" he questioned.
I let out a huff of air, "I don't know. I just snapped, I don't know whats happening to me" I answered. "Well you sure as hell better sort it out soon, get your head in the game adam the tour starts in a week they need you to be on board with this" he told me. "Im trying!" I retorted, "try harder" he instructed as he turned and left. "Hey, are you ok?" a voice said as tommy leant on the barrier next to me. "Have you ever loved someone so much that when they leave you its like nothing makes sense without them?" I mused.
He nodded "I do but if they left then they weren't the one adam. I know its hard but sometimes its better to get rid of the people in your life who don't deserve to be in it" he answered. I knew he was right, "everything's just happening so fast I didn't realise" I started. "You didn't realise your life was going to change so quickly?" he finished, I nodded "you know adam maybe everything going so quickly is a good thing? I mean it keeps your mind occupied from whoever this person was. Maybe throwing yourself in the deep end will help" he answered.
"How?" I questioned, "how what?" he asked his eyes meeting mine. "How do you know the right things to say?" I questioned, he shrugged blushing "I don't know I guess I just say it how I see it" he answered. "I think youre wiser than you seem" I told him, more blushing "thanks so you coming back in?" he asked. "Yeah" I replied as I followed him inside, we finished the meeting and left together. "I vote we all go down the pub" monte said. A chorus of yeses resounded as we headed to the nearest one, I went through my phone on the way. My eyes falling on the pictures of me and Sauli, tommy was right he wasn't someone I needed in my life.
I deleted every picture I had and deleted his number, I let out a relieved sigh as we sat down and ordered. "I propose a toast!" monte said, everyone raised their glasses "to the glam nation tour and new friends" he said as we all cheered and clinked glasses. The night drew on as everyone was drunk, I watched them thinking someone had to be responsible. I ran my finger round the rim of my glass watching as tommy danced with Ashley and monte made out with some blonde chick in the corner. They were going to feel that tomorrow, I smiled at them acting like idiots. They were all crazy as hell, my eyes grew heavier as I looked at my phone through blurred vision. It was 3 am, no wonder I was tired. I crossed the room, "guys we need to go home we have a radio interview tomorrow" I told them as they nodded.
They stumbled up the road Ashley draped round my neck me holding her up and tommy and monte linked in front of us. I pushed them all into the car as I climbed into the drivers seat, as we headed back to the hotel we were staying in they all started singing. Loudly and tunelessly, "guys shh people are sleeping you know!" I told them. They laughed and carried on as I pulled into the parking lot, I dragged them out and led them upstairs. They fell into beds as I sighed and went to bed myself, I set my alarm for 6 am just 2 hours away as I fell asleep.
The next morning....
My alarm trilled as I groaned silencing it, I dragged myself from my bed and went to get everyone up. I shook them all awake, they all complained but got up. A car horn beeped outside as we headed down to get in, "ok so you guys need to get with it we cant turn up looking like shit here" I said placing a bag on the chair. "Makeup?" tommy questioned, "yes makeup now put it on so you look less like the walking dead and take these" I answered dropping advil onto the chair.
I took a sip of my coffee as I leant back against the chair and closed my eyes, someone nudged me as my eyes flew open and met brown ones outlined with black."We're here" tommy said smirking, "Oh ok thanks" I replied still half asleep. I climbed out of the car as the band stood around me with sunglasses on, they didn't look as bad now to be fair. "Right lets go then" I said as we all went inside the studio.
