"So adam tell us a little about your upcoming tour" the presenter said, "its called the glam nation tour. It starts next week in LA im fairly excited about it" I explained. "So I see you have a new band would you care to introduce us?" she asked. "Sure, this is monte hes my musical director. Then you have Ashley my guitar player, then tommy my bass player and we have a drummer but he couldn't make it today. They are all pretty cool guys and Im looking forward to working with them all" I told her.
"So adam which song is your favourite off the album?" she asked, "You cant ask me that its too difficult to decide I like them all" I replied. "So how ar you finding it post idol?" she asked, "I mean its happened quickly but I feel as though this is a start in the right direction, not just in my career but my life also" I answered. "I believe youre going to be performing one of your songs from the album?" she questioned, "I am its called if I had you" I answered. We took a break while we got ready, "right guys are you ready for this?" I asked.
"Fuck yes lets kick ass!" tommy shouted, "lets do it!" I said. The lights went up as they started playing, my gaze kept falling to Tommy I stood in the middle as Ashley and tommy walked near me. I smirked and span tommy round so we were back to back, I heard a quiet gasp of surprise come from him as he continued playing. I smiled as I walked away hitting the high note at the end with flourish, we bowed as applause rose up from the audience. "Well that was fun" Ashley said as we headed back to the car, Tommy caught my gaze as he smiled and looked away. I was impressed with them all, I was surprised that tommy didn't even break his concentration as I spun him.
I smiled and checked the schedule, we had radio interviews and talk show chats the whole week before the tour. Promoting it monte had said, we were going to new York for our next chat so we were on our way to the airport. Ashley and monte were asleep, tommy was sitting opposite me looking out the window. "Tommy" I asked, his gaze fell to my face "yeah?" he questioned. "About that earlier, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable I just got caught in the moment" I answered.
He laughed quietly, "its cool adam. It was fun, I wasn't expecting it that's all. But im into that kind of stuff, the performace side that is" he told me. "Are you sure because I mean I don't want to weird you out" I said, "adam you are weird its just you. I embrace the weird, I mean look at me" he replied laughing. "You're not weird youre perfect as you are" I said realising what I had said. Tommy blushed "I didn't mean.. I meant.. Im just gonna shut up" I stammered as tommy laughed. "I know what you meant adam" he replied smiling, I let out a sigh of relief.
He sat next to me "did you decide what to do about that guy?" he asked quietly not wanting to wake the others up. "I did, I deleted pictures and his number. But it doesn't make it hurt any less all those memories cant be deleted as easily, deep down I know I'll always love him but I just need to move on with my life just like he has with his new boyfriend" I told him. "Adam if you don't mind me asking why did you break up?" he questioned. "Because he cheated on me, with someone we were friends with. I had asked him about it and he always denied it" I answered looking down at my fingers laced on my lap.
"Well he was an idiot, he must have been to cheat on you" he answered, I smiled "thanks I guess" I replied. I looked out the window and saw we were nearly at the airport, "we should probably get them two up" I answered. "I guess so" tommy answered, I shook monte as tommy shook Ashley. "We're nearly at the airport" I commented as they sat up and stretched, "oh ok" Ashley answered as we pulled into the parking lot. I could see people gathered outside with posters and cameras, "oh great" I muttered.
Ashley and monte went first as cameras flashed outside, I looked at tommy who nodded as I climbed out followed by him. Flashing lights from cameras blinded me as I blinked, everyone chanting my name and reaching their hands out in an attempt to grab me. Security guards moved in standing between us and them as we all signed stuff and posed for pictures. Security stopped them grabbing us as we went through the terminal. "Well that was fun!" monte questioned sarcasm dripping from his voice, "yeah well we better get used to it its only going to get worse now because of the tour" I answered straightening my jacket from where someone had pulled my arm so it was crooked.
"They are brutal!" Ashley replied running her hand through her hair. "That's right one grabbed my ass" tommy complained, we snorted with laughter as he raised an eyebrow. "To be fair I don't blame them!" Ashley teased her eyes peering at his ass. "Shut up" he said laughing as we boarded the plane, soon we were in the air on our way to new York.
