Cole's POV
"So what in da flyin' fuck 'as been going on round 'ere?! All dese fuckin' security guards an' shit everywhere! What da 'ell 'appened Cole?! I got Tony fat ass callin' my phone talkin' bout 'Jay wants ya hone' an' shit! I know ya know so don' fuckin' lie to me," Rih yelled as she walked into the foyer where I was standing talking to Rocky and Aubrey.
"Why the fuck you think I know?!"
"'Cause its dealin' wit Pops an' I know ya know somethin'!"
"You musta been bouta get some pussy," Rocky commented.
"Ohhh," Aubrey and I said at the same time.
"That's why she running up in here like a mad woman, should've known," Aubrey said with a snap of his fingers.
"Shut da fuck up!"
"I mean but was you though?" I asked.
"...Yeah but I'm still fuckin' pissed nobody tellin' me what's goin' on and if I find out ya know somethin' and not tellin' me I'm gon' fuck ya up worst than I did in 5th grade nigga."
She went upstairs slamming the door to her room as these two jackasses snickered like little kids.
"Shut the hell up, we was 10 and my Pops ain't raise me to put my hands on girls...even if its Rih's bitch ass."
"FUCK YOU COLE!"
"FUCK YOU TOO ROBERT!" I yelled and Rocky and Aubrey busted out laughing.
"For real though, what's going on? Its nearly on lockdo--"
Before he could finish my dad came into the house with three bodyguards trailing behind him. He removed his shades and looked at the three of us, "Go home, Rakim. You two wait for me in my office while I go get your sister."
He seemed exhausted, not like his usual playful self so we knew some deep shit was going down. We all followed his instructions silently.
All of a sudden it felt like a movie, you could feel something ominous looming ahead. It had even started to thunderstorm, the lightening luninating the dim hallways that led to my father's office. Aubrey and I took seats in front of the huge expensive desk, we soon heard their footsteps along with Rih's indignant pleas to be told what was going on. She really was one of the few if not the only person I know who could get away with talking to my dad any kind of way. She was the only one brave enough to try it.
"Robyn, please sit down and I'll explain."
She plopped down in the seat next to me with her arms folded and a scowl on her face.
"Now I'm sure you've noticed I've hyped up security a little more and I've been a bit mo--"
"Pops, can ya get to it?"
"I haven't been completely honest with you three, and Aubrey I know I'm not your Dad but hell I look at you like another son and I respect you as such so I'm telling you this too... I haven't always made my money by legal means."
"We know Pops, you started off slanging in Brooklyn. You've told us hundreds of times," I said, not seeing the big deal.
"I know, but what I didn't tell you is that I didn't really stop making money illegally. Carter Enterprises is as legit as it comes, and it brings in more income then we could ever possibly need. I did that for you guys, just in case what's happening actually happened. I wanted to leave something for you three, Blue and Bey. I didn't want you to have to see all the carnage that I've seen, so I shielded you from it."
"What's happened?" Aubrey asked on the edge of his seat.
"And what the hell have ya been doin'?" Robyn questioned now a little more interested.
