The group of four fell to the floor as the ball of darkness soared at them. It crashed into a wall and exploded, sending pieces of brick everywhere. Shadowraven stood up and summoned his sword. "Who's there?!" he roared. A form walked out of the shadows, a horse with a dark pelt and the pattern of night on it. "A nightmare" whispered Shadowraven. Rose saw the horse and screamed in fear. "EVERYONE LOOK AWAY" commanded Shadowraven. Rose stood and picked up Tigerblaze and Blaze and ran away from the battle. Shadowraven spun his blade and charged the nightmare. It neighed and ran in the opposite direction. Shadowraven followed it into a dark alley. The nightmare was gone but in its place was a hooded figure. He spun a sword in his hand that shone with a black light.
"Who are you?" asked Shadowraven. The hooded figure's shoulders moved as if it were chuckling."I am The Dark Blood. I am here to show you who your most dangerous enemy is" it said. It chuckled and threw off its hood. A man of 20 ish years looked over at Shadowraven. "Shadowraven, prepare to fall!" exclaimed the Dark Blood. The nightmare emerged and charged him. Suddenly, a shot of light struck the horse. It slowed down and stumbled, then fell. It melted into the darkness, leaving nothing behind.
"What the hell?! Who's there?!" yelled the Dark Blood. "Look up here!" yelled a girl's voice. The Dark Blood looked up as did Shadowraven. On the roof of a building was a girl, who had the moonlight at her back and a shotgun in her hands. "Name's Angel and I'm here for Shadowraven!" she declared. Shadowraven looked up at the girl, realization setting in on him. "Descendant of the fallen angel Soriel" he whispered to himself. "Also known as Hell's Angel!" she yelled. The girl put the shotgun on a sleeve on the case that was on the back of her shirt and raised her hand to the air as Shadowraven placed his hand on the floor. "Ready Shadowraven?" asked Angel. "Ready Angel!" he replied.
"Unison Raid of shadows and light! FURY OF GRAY MATTER!" they exclaimed together. Shards of light crashed down and spikes of shadows rose from the ground, creating an area that The Dark Blood couldn't move in. Every time he stood a hand of darkness would grab his ankle and knock him down or a hand of light would shove him down into the floor. "Shadowraven, let's go!" exclaimed Angel. Wings as white as fallen snow sprouted out of her back and she flew towards the masked boy. He stretched out his hand and she grabbed it, flying him out of the alley way.
They landed in front of Rose, Tigerblaze, and Blaze. Rose looked at them as they landed. "She's beautiful" Rose whispered to herself. "Thanks, you're not so bad yourself" replied Angel with a wink. Rose's face turned a shade of red that wasn't on the color wheel and she looked away. "What, is she into me already or something?" asked Angel to Shadowraven. He shook his head. "She's not used to compliments" he told her. "Oh alright. Who's the hottie with the body?" asked Angel. pointing to Tigerblaze. "That's Tigerblaze. The boy next to her is her brother, Blaze" he replied. They were both unconscious from the debris that had hit them.
Angel looked at Tigerblaze for a little longer and then looked at Shadowraven. "Keller's gonna be here in a couple more minutes" she told him. "Keller?" he asked the winged girl. "Descendant of the assassin Jinsu. First assassin to follow the way of the shadows, taught to him by Shadow himself" she responded. Suddenly, a young boy jumped out of nowhere and landed in front of them. "Keller, the assassin of darkness, at your service" he told them. Shadowraven stared at the short, blond, curly haired boy. He then looked back to the blond haired, blue eyes Angel. "Well, the gang's all here!" Shadowraven exclaimed happily.
"Next step, finding a home!" yelled someone. They all looked in the direction of the voice, which belonged to Rose. "We got a neat place we found while looking for you guys!" said Angel. "Abandoned warehouse that was once used to store the weapons, machinery, and excess parts the city no longer needed?" asked Shadowraven. Angel nodded. "Yep! I'm guessing you read my mind or something" she told him. "Uh, no. Turns out that Tigerblaze and Blaze had chosen the spot before you. They lived a couple of blocks away from it" he told Angel. She shrugged and walked towards the warehouse. "C'mon, follow me!" she said. So they did.
