Shadowraven watched as the helicopter descended, landing on the landing pad on top of the building. He was on the building next door, using binoculars that Drakensang had shifted into. He watched as the Dark Blood and a man got down, carrying a cage. Shadowraven felt his rage rise as he saw his team being forced inside, shackled. "I'm coming for you guys..." He murmered as the Dark Blood closed the door. The helicopter flew off, making its way to who knows where. Shadowraven's wings spread and he glided towards the building. He landed and the binoculars changed to a lock pick. He began to work on the lock, his fingers moving swiftly. The lock clicked and Shadowraven tried the door knob. The door opened and he snuck in, locking the door behind him and murmuring an invisibility spell.

He walked down the hallway, his sword gone. Shadowraven looked around, watching the cameras as they acted normally. He sighed, grateful that the spell hadn't backfired or killed him. He reached the elevator and realized that if he hit the button he'd give himself up. He sighed, his anger rising. He looked around and saw a door in the wall. He walked towards it, then looked at where the cameras were pointing. "Only at the hallways and the elevator... I'll be taking this advantage." He whispered, opening the door halfway and sneaking in. "Which floor are they in..." He murmured, looking up and down.

The image of the tooth rock popped into his head and he began to head down. He didn't know why, but the grooves did say down, so he went with that. Down and down he went, not seeing a camera or any enemies as the stairwell took him deeper and deeper into the belly of the beast. He summoned Drakensang, which began to vibrate slightly. "Do you feel that?" Elizabeth asked. Shadowraven nodded and looked at the blade. "There's a lot of magical energy here. This could end badly, Liz." He murmured. The sword flashed, revealing a concerned Elizabeth's face in it. "Shadowraven, are you sure we should've ran in like this?" She asked. Shadowraven stayed silent, then nodded. "We have nobody except each other. They have magic nulling chains on. Only Keller is immune to that since he uses weapons over magic. They don't have their weapons either." He whispered. Elizabeth sighed then cracked her knuckles.

"Did you bring their weapons?" She asked. Shadowraven stopped walking. He swore silently, feeling stupid. "Don't worry, we can get them now." Elizabeth said. "How?" Shadowraven asked. "Magic, duh." She said. "Oh." He replied. Elizabeth shook her head. "Let me go for a minute, I'll get them." She said. Shadowraven let go of the blade and it flashed, then Elizabeth appeared. She stuck her hand out and it disappeared, then reappeared with Angel's shotgun. Shadowraven stared as Elizabeth reached into the pocket of space, pulling out Keller's knives and Charmcaster's staff. "That's the Void. Even though humans didn't come from it, creatures of magic did. All magic starts and ends at the Void." She lectured. Shadowraven just stared at her. "Seems pretty Deus Ex Machina, kinda like the stairwell door." He replied. She shrugged and then disappeared, the sword back in his hands.

He grabbed the weapons that Elizabeth had propped against the wall and continued to head down, the sword vibrating more violently. He reached a door, the sword shaking hard enough to shake his arm. He sighed as he spun the blade, which changed into a lock pick again and began working on the lock. The lock clicked and he opened the door, sneaking in, closing and locking the door behind him. He sighed as he noticed the hallway that stretched out in front of him. "Talk about building suspense..." He groaned, walking down the hallway. He looked around at the masks, suits, test tubes, and preservation jars that were in the grooves of the wall. "This is actually kinda awesome..." He murmured, walking by a jar labeled "Garuga". He kept walking, reading labels and looking at the subjects drowned in the green goopy preservation liquid.

He kept walking, then bumped into something. Panic pumped through him as he grabbed the jar he knocked over. An alarm blared and Shadowraven started running, taking whatever was in the jar with him. He heard a howl and looked behind him, fear increasing his speed. A pair of dire wolves were chasing him, their teeth glinting dangerously. "This is complete bullsh-" he was cut off as he tripped over a wire, letting the dire wolves catch up. Shadowraven stood up and threw the jar behind him, hearing a crash and then whimpering. He didn't look back as he ran towards the door, bracing himself for impact. He didn't have time to pick the lock because whatever had scared the dire wolves was behind him and it was clearly still hungry. He slammed into the door, using Ragnarok's strength to slam it off its hinges. He turned around and saw... A kitten. It was a kitten, black as black could be and had eyes that were as green as jade.

The tiny kitten stared at him, then padded closer, mewling. "I have no clue what you did to those wolves but please don't eat me. I taste like something you'd find in a sewage drain." Shadowraven told the kitten. The kitten purred, then rubbed itself against Shadowraven's leg. Shadowraven sighed in relief then looked at the kitten. "So what's a little kitten doing in here?" He asked, scooping up the little creature. It mewled and Shadowraven smiled. "I guess I should just carry you with me for now. Hold on tight little guy." He said, putting it on his shoulder. The kitten dug it's claws into his shoulder, causing him to wince slightly in pain. The kitten mewled in confusion, then licked his cheek. "Let's go." He said, walking into a dark room.

"Well well well, what do we have here?" Asked a voice. "Dark Blood!" Snarled Shadowraven. Two chains wrapped themselves around Shadowraven's arms and lifted him, chaining him to a wall. He snarled and looked at his shoulder, noticing that the kitten was gone. He looked down and saw it running behind a machine that seemed to be drilling into the earth. "Now Shadowraven, welcome to my lab! Enjoy the show!" Cackled the Dark Blood, pointing at the machine. Strapped next to the machine on a table was Charmcaster, her face contorted in pain. She was pale, with sweat running down her face and her hands balled into fists. She was shaking and crying as the machine seemed to be absorbing her magic to fuel itself. Shadowraven struggled, trying to free himself so he could free the girl. "Where's the rest of my team?" He snarled, causing the Dark Blood to laugh.

"They're next." He chuckled, snapping. The chains released Shadowraven. "Beat me and you can still save them." He mocked. Shadowraven clenched his fists and charged.
