Shadowraven finished, holding back tears. Rose, (it's Charmcaster, Shadowraven scolded himself mentally.) Looked at him, tears in her eyes. "I... I'm sorry to hear that." She said. How could I have been so stupid? Charmcaster asked herself. Shadowraven looked at the floor, thinking of Sammy. He looked up as Charmcaster hugged him tightly, telling him that she was in a better place. He didn't care though. The feeling of having someone pressed against him, comforting him, letting him know everything was alright, it all took him by surprise.
The last time he had been hugged like that was by Sammy, the day before she killed herself. Shadowraven didn't know what to do. He felt the tears threatening to destroy him. He never cried, not even when Sammy died. He had just become dull, the world becoming black and white and gray and dead. The feeling of being loved was something he hadn't felt in years. First his father, then his mother, then Sammy. Charmcaster pulled away. "Sorry, you just seemed like you really needed a hug." She stated. He looked back at the laptop. "It's fine, just warn me next time." He said, the pain in his chest coming back.
Charmcaster smiled and walked out of the room. Shadowraven stared at the laptop, his emotions jumbling together and making him think. "What is this..." He said to himself, wishing he knew what people were thinking. He sighed and shook his head, getting back to working on the defense system. In the other room, Charmcaster was crying. "What the hell was that... 'Warn me next time'?!" She whispered to herself angrily. She was sitting between two crates, the staff sitting next to her and her back against the wall.
"I was so stupid! I need to stop thinking about him like that!" She scolded herself. She wiped the tears from her eyes and looked at the staff. "What do I have to do to let him know? If I tell him he'll think I'm being an idiot, I leave a note he won't read it, I show him and he'll just shrug it off..." She whispered angrily. She kept staring at the staff, feeling stupid for talking to it. She sighed and focused her vision on a little ant walking across the floor. "Why can't I tell him?" She asked herself.
Shadowraven was still pondering what he felt when Charmcaster hugged him. It was like something had woken up and painted the world for those few minutes they had contact. It was strange to Shadowraven, feeling like this. "Last time this happened... It was with Sammy..." He muttered. He shrugged and went back to work on the laptop.
In the an abandoned room, Tigerblaze and Angel were giggling. "I don't know what the hell is going on, but I'm loving it!" Squealed Tigerblaze. Angel smirked and planted a kiss on Tigerblaze's lips. Tigerblaze's eyes went wide and her cheeks flushed. "W-what was that for?" She asked. Angel shrugged and stood up. "Well, it was fun Kitty. Now we gotta run though, we gotta start training." Angel said, grinning mischievously. "You gotta learn to have endurance." She said, winking. Tigerblaze blushed even harder and turned away. "F-fine, let's start training."
