So it was the first day of my second year of High school. I was a bit sad due to a few reasons.1. I had been separated from my friends. We had two sections for Science. I was put in section A,while my close friends were in B. Excellent.
2. Sakura-chan had changed her school timing and was in the morning batch, while we were in the day batch.
3. Shiori had transfered to another school.
And there were a few things to be happy about too!
1. Candy was not in Science..which meant, she wasn't in the same floor as us!
2. I would be able to talk to Yui without much interference of Candy.
OH OH OH!! I FORGOT TO MENTION!
Yui said she doesn't like Candy. Shampoo (another friend) doesn't like her either! So..basically we were happy to have finally got rid of her.
I walked into the school, and to the mentioned classroom. Yui was there talking to Misa (our common friend from our previous class). I was supposed to sit with Misa, cause neither of us knew much if the other students in our new class.
As I entered, I was greeted by enthusiastic waves and before I knew it, they had engulfed me in huge bear hugs. Hugging them back, I settled down on my place beside Misa and joined in on their conversation.
After sometime, the bell rung signalling start of school, and Yui rushed to her classroom, Section B.
Im glad i had got Misa over here in A. Misa and I waited patiently for our homeroom teacher to come.
Soon, she arrived. A woman in her 50s, but energetic like in 30s. Mrs. Hiromi.
As the class settled down, she proceeded to call out the attendance.
And that was the turning point.
I waited and waited for my name to be called out. But it didn't come.
My hands shook as I and Misa looked at one another with worry etched on our faces.
I slowly got up form my seat and walked upto Mrs. Hiromi.
"Ma'am, you didn't mention my name...."
"What's your name?"
"Kayano Yukimura"
"Oh yes, Kayano-chan, you're supposed to be in Section B"
And I felt like my heart started soaring in the sky. I don't know what my expression might have been, but I'm sure that was when I felt that God does exist.
