~Aspyn's POV~
{Picture is of Aspyn's Outfit}
My alarm clock wakes me up at 6:30 on a Saturday morning. I hate my life. I get out of my bed ever so slowly.
I walk over to my closet and spend forever trying to find a cute outfit. I end up throwing my entire closet on the floor and starting from scratch. I end up throwing on a simple top and some jeans and sandals and then I grab some sun glasses and a purse.
I walk downstairs and my dad has toast, eggs, and bacon on a plate waiting for me. I just suck it up and eat it because I don't want to start my day off with my dad being all "mad" at me. As soon as I finish eating, I put my plate in the sink, and then I rinse it. "Bye Dad."
"Bye sweetheart," he says. "Wait, where are you going?"
"The mall."
"Okay have fun."
"I will, love you!" With that I walk out the door, before he can stop me again. Miles offered to pick me up and I let him. He wasn't here yet so I sat down on the curb outside my house. He ends up being ten minutes late—I don't know why. I wave and he unlocks the car door and I hop in. "Hey," I say once I've gotten comfy.
"Hey." He says.
"Okay, I brought a ton of cash so you can't do anything. Okay?"
"Fine, I promise I won't buy you anything—anything outrageously expensive."
I groan. It's a nice gesture don't get me wrong, but that's hundreds of dollars and I can't make him do that.
We walk into the mall and we walk around for a bit. "So what kind of dress do you want?"
"Umm... A-line, yellow, some accent and detail. Nothing over the top." I give him some ideas of my dream prom dress.
"Okay, so should I get a yellow tie to match your dress?" He winks.
"What ever you want to do is fine with me." I smile.
We walk into a shop with the most elegant dresses I've ever seen. One dress instantly catches my eye. It's a yellow spaghetti strap dress with minor detailing and it's A-line. I check the price—$855.99—not in this lifetime. For a dress, that I'm only going to where once. The people at this store are crazy. "You should try it on." Whispers Miles coming and wrapping his arms around my waist from behind.
"Did you see the price?! Uh-uh. I window shop, that means I only look, I don't buy. And if I try it on them I'm going to want to buy it. And I don't want to buy it that bad. I can live without it."
"Just try on the damn thing!" He whisper shouts. A few shoppers over hear our conversation and stare at us.
"No!"
He gives me that look. The look of 'oh for God's sake, just do it'.
"Fine, but only because you won't shut up." I smirk. His mouth opens wide. "Close your mouth honey you'll catch flys." I walk into a dressing room and put on the yellow dress. I love the way it fits on my body. I love the color against my skin tone. I walk out and show Miles. His eyes get wide. "What do you think?"
