You have no idea how hard it is to walk everyday with a smile when all you want to do is cry.
You have no idea how hard it is to listen to other people's banal and superficial problems when with every passing second you die a little inside.
You have no idea how hard it is to act strong all day not just for yourself but also for others who can't be strong for themselves when you're the weakest person you know. Because unlike the others who think you are strong, you also cry. The only difference is you do it alone.
You can't begin to comprehend that people with depression aren't lazy and people with anxiety aren't rude.
Depression makes us feel like we're standing in front of a white board and we're incapable of coloring it. Depression is when you don't care about anything.
Anxiety makes us feel paranoid, makes us overthink. Anxiety is when you care too much about everything.
And having both is just like hell.
You can maybe try to understand that depression isn't just sadness alone it's also emptiness, self-loathe, anxiety, hopelessness, guilt and isolation.
All this is like being silent but screaming inside and all we manage to say is "I'm fine".
