Well for starters, I do have a few OCs who live in the Slender Mansion. I say it exists, I know some people can argue with that.
But please, TRY TO BE CREATIVE. They don't have to live in the woods! They can live in a run down abandoned house! They can live with they're parents and kill in secrecy! THEY CAN LIVE IN THE UNDERWORLD!!! I do have an OC who lives in the underworld. (The only actually good OC of mine who isn't human)
WHAT ALWAYS HAPPENS IS THEY GO TO THE MANSION AND INSTANTLY GET ALONG WITH THE PASTAS. NO. The pastas probably woofing be very happy about someone just watching into their home, and would probably feel a strong hatred towards them for a while! COMMON SENSE PEOPLE.
It's okay for your character to live in the forest, AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A GOOD REASON FOR IT. PLEASE.
An abandoned place is fine. As long as you know how they got there. Not, 'Then I was in an abandoned amusement park!' Yeah, how about no. THEY NEED TO BE THERE FOR A REASON.
All in all, please just give your character a good reason to be where they are. Whether it be the Slender Mansion, the middle of the forest, somewhere abandoned, in a house killing in secrecy, the underworld, WHEREVER YOU WANT THEM TO! They. Need. A. Reason.
