Ametis could move. She could do anything; run, jump, fly but she instead chose to stand like a statue while the other gods dismissed themselves. Someone pulls aside Horus and speaks to him.
    Amiid is reading a scroll.
Ametis still stands, sword and shield in hand as she breathes heavily.
   "Ametis, hey--are you alright?"
Lazily glancing to her left, Ametis saw Shai standing in a light blue sparkling dress that reminded her of the skies and seas meeting.
How is someone so delicate and lovely allowed in into a crowded war area like this, Ametis mused as a first thought from looking at Shai.
"Ametis, I need to talk to you," Shai continued after getting the message Ametis was in no mood for talking.
    The silence is bitter.
Shai faces Ametis directly in her face and says loud and clear, "you cannot hide anything from me. I am fate."
The stunned goddess abruptly grasps Shai's arm accidentally in a brutal force.
"Let me go," Shai almost shouts. "You are delusional."
"Oh by Ra, I am so sorry Shai," gasps Ametis as she lets the tiny goddess's arm go and recollects herself. "I'm just...just underwhelmed."
"Of course you are," whispers Shai in a small voice. "Come back to the temple. I need to show to you something of great importance...even more important than the plans you have for this battle."
    Ametis stares at her.
She couldn't possibly mean what I think it is, she thought quietly, half alarmed.
Only time will tell, she continues thinking as she makes her way out of the tent, bowing to Horus on the way out.

Ametis landed on the Temple of the Gods and marched across the bridge to the temple on it's left--the very same one they entered the day before to Shai's hall of prophecies.
She retreats her wings as she enters the colossal building.
In the main part of the temple, Ametis looked across and saw Shai standing--looking up at the ceiling. She didn't acknowledge Ametis's presence even though she knew the goddess entered her temple.
"Shai!" Ametis walks hurriedly to her side. "What is the meaning of this? You come to the camp to summon me--it should be good or have you lost your mind."
    Shai doesn't respond.
"Alright, fate, what is this? Are you mocking the daughter of the great Horus?"
Shai finally turns to Ametis, her eyes filled with tears and responds...but it is not a response Ametis wanted to hear.
   "What have you done?"
Ametis backs away at the sight of Shai's teary eyes, "Shai..."
Shai blinks and the tears fall away down her cheeks where they quickly disappear.
   "Oh Ametis...no."
"Help me understand," Ametis responded quietly lending a hand out to the
frail-looking goddess before her. She had never seen anyone so beautiful look so weak and in pain.
Shai looks down at her hand but does not take it.
"Sometimes, when there is a drastic change in prophesies and I see them, no matter if good or bad--they all cause me great pain." She inhales, "this is one of those rare moments."
   "A prophecy changed?"
Shai weakly shrugs, "I saw a vision but nothing appeared or disappeared in the chamber. I am not sure but if it is linked to any prophecy...there is bound to be trouble."
"How do I help?" Ametis asked approaching her.
"No! Don't you understand? It's you...whatever you did has triggered this vision," Shai blurted out angrily.
    Ametis stops, "what..."
Shai tilted her head, "what did you do last night, Ametis?"
Cold creeped up Ametis's body as she shakes her head. She wanted to run away, far from Shai, far from the temple, out of Egypt and into exile. She hung her head, not daring to look into Shai's eyes.
This was what everyone didn't get; Shai was a beautiful goddess and looked as harmless as a bird but she was actually one of the most dangerous deities ever. She was fate and no one can escape her; not Set, not Horus and certainly not even Ametis.
Shai was calm now after waiting too long for a reply, she walked over to Ametis and wrapped her arms around her.
"I'm sorry if I make you fear me, but please tell me what you did. I need to know in order to see through the vision."
"Promise--promise you will keep this to yourself," Ametis sighed and held on onto one of her arms. "Promise me you will not tell anyone; not Horus, not Hathor and definitely not Nephthys."
At the hearing of Nephthys's name, Shai's breathing wavered but she still held onto her friend.
"A goddess's honour," she replies nodding.
"Kha," Ametis hesitantly begun. "He came to my chamber last night and you know the rest, I assume from your vision. Yes, I put you in pain because the god with me was Kha--my enemy. The only person I would not hate more than already."
Shai shakes her head, "no Ametis do not take me for a fool. Please tell me that was not Kha!"
"Why else would you have experienced great pain? It was because Kha and I should have never met before the battle. I cannot tell you otherwise, I'm sorry."
Shai gasped and dropped her hands from her friend's shoulders.
"Do you realize what you have done?"
"Me? Why don't we summon Kha so you could blame him instead? He was there!"
"So he used you? How could you let that happen? He must have bewitched you with the help of that sorceress," shouted Shai loudly, her voice echoed throughout the empty building.
"It wasn't like that! He didn't use me--he didn't get anywhere near using me. It was a simple confusing kiss!" Ametis pulled away to face her.
"By Ra it does not matter, Ametis! He bewitched you," screamed Shai approaching her.
Ametis spread out her hands between her and Shai; not wanting the goddess to move any further towards her. Her eyes sting and she feels an unbearable weight of emotions engulfing her; anger and sadness but also frustration.
"Shai he didn't use any powers on me," tears stream down her cheeks. "Not the sorceress' and not even his own! I was not bewitched--I had not even known it was Kha until dawn."
Shai watched the pain leave Ametis in the form of sparkling teardrops that roll off her cheek and hit the floor as she moves away from Shai.
"Are you saying...that you both acted out genuinely? That's impossible, Kha is Set's son and you are the daughter of Horus, the future Queen of Egypt. How could that happen when you both have enmity for each other since forever? Your powers repel each other."
Shai stops moving towards Ametis and Ametis stands far from her, lowering her hands.
"No, you are also forgetting that without those titles...Kha and I are just two immortals," stated Ametis blinking away the tears furiously. "And if it puts your mind at rest--I still do not change my thoughts towards Kha, I do not love him. I kissed a stranger, not Kha."
Shai still stood speechless across from her.
"I can assure you Kha's views are the very same. He does not love me. He held a sword to my abdomen...and I held one to his throat, after discovering we were not who we planned out to be."
    Shai nods.
"If you say so...but the matter is you kissed Kha. You had affection for him before you knew he was Kha, son of Set. That is enough to tip the scales of your prophecy--leading Egypt to victory against the very god you kissed," Shai said as she shook her head with a heavy sigh.
"I will still win this battle no matter. I have to prove myself to Horus and the rest of Egypt," chuckles Ametis bitterly. "A kiss does not change anything!"
Shai nods and finally reached out to hold her friend's hand. Ametis grabbed it with a smile on her face.
   "Ametis?"
Shai and Ametis turn swiftly to face the new voice. They were horrified!
Nephthys stood by a pillar trembling, with tears in her eyes. Her hands pressed up against the pillar for support. Shai shook her head and ran towards Nephthys with Ametis following close behind her, wracked with guilt.
However they do not reach Nephthys in time, as she turns away spreading her wings and hurries down the stairs that line the sides of the temple.
"Lady Nephthys!" Shouted Shai as she runs out into the blistering evening desert sun, only to see Nephthys soar high into the skies--away from the temple.
"What are you doing?" Shouted Ametis at Shai who just stopped running. "Follow Nephthys. We need to talk to her properly or she might do something worth regretting."
"I don't have wings," shrugged Shai in defeat as she watched Ametis straighten out her wings.
   "Fool! You still can fly!"
"Forgive me then," Shai chuckles weakly and raises her body off the ground.
She waits until Ametis bolts past her with incredible speed, then she follows.
Nephthys flew faster than ever when she catches the two goddesses gaining up behind her. Once further enough, she cuts the air with her wings and changes her course South towards the newly fallen Kingdom.
Shai, as fate, is beyond terrified when she discovers Nephthys changing directions for the South. Kha's new empire.
   "Lady Nephthys no!!"
