Kristine was really doing her homework. I offered her my apple from lunch so that she won't starve. "Here, take this so that there will be at least some food in your stomach and it will be good for both your health and mind." She grabbed the apple in my hand. "Thanks." She said kissing my cheek. My friends smiled to us. "Oh, shut up." I said to them. "Do you need help?" I asked Kristine. "Actually, yeah." She said tapping the ballpen to her cheek. "I can't understand this problem." She used her ballpen to point the problem. I read the problem and explained it to her, hoping she got the point. "Ohhhh!! I get it now!" She said, her face filled with relief. "Thanks! A lot!" She said again, continuing to answer her homework. "Hey, Kristine" She faced my way. "Hm?" She said. "Could you sleep with me for a week? Mom, Dad and Chris are taking a vacation. They left me so that I can guard the house." I asked her, hoping that she'll say yes. "Of course!"she said happily. "I know you're scared of being alone." She teases me which made us laugh. Yeah, I'm scared of being alone, both physically and emotionally. I said to myself.
