The classes ended and I went home. Nothing happened at lunch. We just ate and talked. I wanted to sleep. I quickly went to my bedroom and when I opened the door, I saw Kristine seating at me bed. I was startled by her presence. "Tyler..." She said to me, standing up from my bed. "I didn't expect for you to come here." I said, putting my bag near the door and not looking at her in the eyes. "I'm sorry, Tyler." She said to me. I looked at her eyes. There were eye-bags underneath her eye, her eyes were wet from crying. "Did you walked faster than me? I didn't see you." I said, ignoring her apology. "I..." She looked at her back. "I didn't attend school." I was shocked. She's never done this before, not attending school for no reason or just a simple problem. "Oh, I didn't notice you earlier." I said to her while I take out my books and notebook and sat at my chair. "You were wrong." I said to her. She looked at me. "Wrong?" She asked with confusion. "About Sophia. She was just finding a sweet, romantic guy. Turns out she's jealous of how sweet I am to you before. All the guys that she's been with just wanted her for the thing and she's tired of it." I said to her, my voice raising. "I'm sorry if I'm wrong about her but that is how I see it." She said angrily. "You know what?! I don't care anymore about Sophia, Especially you. I can't take it anymore!" Tears started forming. "I tried to mend our friendship, tried to get things the way it was before, but I'm tired of bringing it back. Let's just forget that we met." She pulled her necklace and threw it outside. She took off her bracelet and broke it, spilling beads everywhere. She stomped outside and slammed my door. I picked up the beads and threw it under my bed. I sat down at my chair and did my homework, trying to forget about what happened, about their friendship, about her.
