Kristine and I were talking when suddenly, a pat on my shoulder disturbed us. I looked over to my right and my smile grew when I realized it was Sophia. Oh my god, she patted me on my shoulder! I wonder how soft her hands are. I thought. I stopped myself of thinking about her. Remember what Kristine said, the nightmare and promise. I reminded myself. "Hey." I said to her. She smiled. Oh my god those teeth. Ahhh shut up!!! "Hey, could I talk to you?" She asked me and pouted her lips and had puppy eyes. "Yeah sure." I said to her. "Come and eat with us, we could talk at lunch." She said with a smile. "But we could talk now, and I'm eating with Kristine." I said to her. "There's not enough time to talk about it right now. We'll have a lot of time later. Eat with us. This is a big opportunity. A lot of people wants to eat with us. This is your chance to flirt with me." She said and leaned closer and touched my laps. I slowly held her hand and put it away. "Sure, we could talk later. I'm sure Kristine won't mind. Right, Kristine?" I turned to look at Kristine. Her eyes narrowed to Sophia, filled with hatred. "Yes." She said, still focusing her eyes on Sophia. "If you do anything to Tyler, hurt him, brainwash him, manipulate or anything, I'll kill you." She warned her. "Of course, we will just talk." Sophia turned to me and winked. I feel my cheeks heat up and I stopped the heat. "Thank you, Tyler." She said and went on to her business. I looked back to Kristine, her eyes filled with anger. "It's just a talk and eat." I said to her. "I don't care." She said, gritting her teeth. I held her hands. "Don't get mad, Kristine." I said to her. "What if everything in my nightmare happens?" She said to me, her face full of concern. "Don't worry, I'll protect you." I said to her and kissed her cheek. "Forever and ever." I whispered to her. "Forever and ever." She repeated. Our next class started.
