Right Place, Right Time

Chapter Six

The next morning Chloe woke up to 'Weightless' by All Time Low going off, indicating that she had a text. Squinting her eyes open she reached for her phone so she could see her message, it was Chris. It read: 'Morning beautiful :). I was wondering if I could take Jay for a day out today? It'd be nice to get to know him, Chris x x' Chloe smiled and replied: 'Of course! He'll love that, see you in a bit x x' Jaydon was excited. He got changed extremely quickly and waited patiently for Chris to arrive. Jaydon wore his favourite The Avengers t-shirt, black shorts and his black Thor converse that he got for his last birthday. Ten minutes later Chris arrived and after greeting Chloe with a kiss on the cheek he and Jaydon got into his car. 

"Where are we going sir?" Jaydon asked politely. 

"You'll see, it's a surprise and please just call me Chris." Chris replied. A few minutes passed and they arrived at London Zoo and a huge grin painted itself on Jaydon's face. Chris let him out and walked with him to get the tickets. After sorting that out they began their journey around the zoo. "We've seen most of the animals, is there one in particular before we go get something to eat?" Chris wondered after they just seen the tigers. "GIRAFFES PLEASE!" Jaydon yelled happily. Chris obeyed and they walked towards the giraffe section. When they got there Jaydon watched them in amazement. "Are these your favourite animals?" Chris inquired as he watched Jaydon's happy expression when a giraffe came nearest to him. "Yep, my Mum's too. Want to learn a fact?" Jaydon spoke back. Chris nodded. "Giraffes don't make sounds 'cause they have no vocal chords." Jay answered cleverly.  "Wow." Chris simply said.

Once they spent a good half an hour and the giraffe section they went to get something to eat from the restaurant. During lunch they talked about a lot of their interests and boys toys and games. They got on really well. They finished the day by going in the reptile house and bat cave before returning home. During the car journey Jaydon turned serious "Chris, please don't leave my Mum. I've never seen her so happy and I really like you." Chris beamed at him before turning serious too and said back "I promise I won't Jay." Jaydon smiled. Chloe was extremely pleased to hear how well her son and boyfriend got on and what a great day they had. Jaydon thanked Chris for everything and so did Chloe and he returned home.

Shannon woke up to 'Juliet' by Lawson playing loudly. She picked up her phone to find a message from Channing that read: 'Morning sweetie! Would it be okay if I take Savannah out for a day out? I'd love to get to know her properly. :) xxx' Shannon smirked and replied 'Sure, she'll love that xxx' Savannah was so excited about the day out that she got changed extra quick. She wore her red and blue checkered shirt, a black skirt and slip on shoes and her hair up and her side fringe was plaited and clipped to the side by her mum. Just five minutes later Channing arrived and after saying hello to Shannon him and Savannah got into his car.

"So, where are you taking me sir?" Savannah asked nicely.

"It's a surprise and just call me Channing please." Channing replied. Soon enough and to Savannah's happiness they arrived at the Sea Life Centre. He let her out then raced her to the ticket booth. Once the tickets were sorted they started to explore the aquarium. "We've seen all the main bits now, do you want to see your big surprise?" Channing wondered sweetly to her. Savannah nodded and yelled back "YEAH! Pleaseeeee!" Channing led her to the shark section where people were waiting for them. Savannah looked at him curiously. "We're going to swim with the sharks." He explained. She looked ecstatic. After the wonderful experience of swimming with the sharks and getting ice-creams they made their way home.

On the way home they both spoke about their interests and they got on really well. "Channing, are you going to stay with mum? You make her so happy and I like you too." Savannah inquired seriously. Channing grinned feeling very flattered. "Absolutely, you and your mum are hopefully my future now." He spoke back making her very delighted. Shannon was very pleased to find out how great their day was and how great they got along. She and Savannah thanked him with a kiss on the cheek and he left.
