Right Place, Right Time

Chapter Eleven

5 months later it was the day of Channing and Shannon and Chloe and Chris' 6 month anniversary and Chris and Channing had organised a surprise.

Chris had organised an assembly out of the blue. what Chloe didn't know was that the whole thing was set up for her. A student from each year took to the stage to read of the little cards they each held in their hands. A young girl from Year Seven went first "Hello. I'm Emily, from Year Seven. This assembly is dedicated to the best English teacher in the world..." The Year Eight called Ben went next "This teacher is the most caring person that I've ever met and is always there when you need them..." The Year Nine called Amy followed by saying "This teacher has an excellent sense of humour and knows the best jokes in the world which helps cheers you up when you're down..." Then the Year Ten called Jamie added "This teacher is also a talented write and we could read their stories all day." Finally the Year 11 called Ava ended with "Without this teacher the school would be a boring place, this assembly is dedicated to you... Miss Murs. Mr Evans would like to now say a few words." The students and staff clapped while Chloe was completely taken back. Chris entered the stage and took a huge breath before making his speech.

"Chloe Louise Murs, or to us here, Miss Murs is a very important person in my life. As you may probably know, me and Miss Murs have been together for 6 months now. To you she is an amazing and caring English teacher but to me she's much more than that, she's my perfect girlfriend. In this very building I met the love of my life who I'd be lost without. I'd like her to join me on stage right now please." Chris spoke lovingly. Chloe got onto the stage and took his outstretched hand. Chris took a sea blue velvet box from his pocket and got down on one knee. "Chloe Louise Murs, you and Jaydon make my life complete. You're beautiful, I love you to the moon and back. Please make me the happiest Drama teacher alive and be my wife?" Chris wondered sweetly gazing her into her eyes. "Of course I will, I love you so much." She answered happily. Chris beamed before sliding the turquoise jewelled ring on her finger and connecting his lips with her to the loud cheers of the students and the staff. Jaydon felt excited to find out Chris would be his Step-Dad.

Channing had sent a text to Shannon at work to tell her to meet him at the cafe at lunch time where they first met. He had planned something special for her for their 6 month anniversary. Lunch time arrived and Shannon made her way to the cafe. She walked in and immediately got greeted by a lady who worked there. "Miss Franco is it? Mr Tatum told us to tell you to sit right there and wait for him." She instructed. Shannon nodded and sat at the very table where they first met. Few seconds later another staff member placed the exact thing she had on that day. Sweet memories flood back to her. "Excuse me ma'am, there are no available seats, may I join you?" Channing spoke from behind her. "Sure, knock yourself out." She repeated just as before. He smiled at her warmly before taking his seat. He planted a light kiss on her lips. "6 months eh?" She commented. Channing nodded but suddenly looked nervous. "What's wrong?" Shannon asked feeling very confused and concerned. Channing then reached into his jeans pocket and pulled out a crimson red velvet box before making a long speech.

"Shannon Louise Franco, 6 months ago in this very spot I knew I had found the one. You're perfect, no one could ever replace you. You've made my life a million times better by walking into it with little Savannah. I love you so much, please do me the honour of marrying me?" Channing spoke lovingly while looking her deeply in the eyes. She was shocked. She beamed before replying "Of course I will, I love you." Channing's eyes lit up and he slid the pink crystallized ring onto her finger before kissing her passionately on the lips, much to the joy of the customers around them. Savannah was also pleased to learn that Channing would be becoming her Step-Dad.
