Right Place, Right Time

Chapter Four

A week later Saturday afternoon arrived and Chloe, Chris, Shannon and Channing were all getting ready for their second dates feeling anxious. After stressing over outfits they all made their final decisions. Chloe put on a midnight blue flowy top, black leggings and a tight fitted black blazer and ankle boots. She wore her hair down and left it natural. She wore a bit of make up and wore her usual load of jewellery. Chris wore a plain white t-shirt, a grey blazer, black jeans and smart shoes. Shannon wore a fuchsia pink strapless dress, a denim jacket and white slip on shoes. She straightened her hair perfectly and wore light make up and silver zip earrings hung from her ears. Finally Channing wore a checkered red shirt, black jeans and smart shoes.

5 o clock came and as organised Shannon met Channing outside the cafe. "You look lovely." He said. Shannon thanked him and returned the compliment. He held out his hand indicating for her to take it which she did. Their hands fitted together perfectly. They walked for quite a while until they arrived at Hyde Park. "Ready for your surprise?" Channing asked. Shannon nodded. Out of nowhere a helicopter appeared in the sky and landed in front of them. Shannon looked at him confused and he raised his eyebrows and helped her inside. "We're going to have a tour of London." He explained as they strapped themselves in and put on their headsets. London looked magical at night from the skies. "It's so stunning from up here." Shannon gasped gazing at the wonderfully lit up city from below her. "Just like the girl sat next to me then." Channing flirted. She simply beamed at him. After an hour tour of the city the helicopter landed back in Hyde Park.

Channing and Shannon both got a kebab each and sat down on the grass in the park. "Shannon, you're unlike anyone I've ever met, will you be my girlfriend?" Channing wondered. She felt butterflies erupt in her stomach as his green eyes looked deeply into hers. "Come round mine tomorrow afternoon, I need to show you something that might effect what you're asking me, okay?" She replied. He nodded before taking her home late at night. Shannon told Savannah that he would be meeting her the next day feeling nervous even though Savannah was rather looking forward to it.

6 o clock struck and Chloe's door knocked. She answered it with a wide smile and walked out of the house to join Chris. "You look great." Chris commented sweetly. She thanked him and returned the compliment. She then took his warm awaiting hand. They fitted together perfectly like his fingers were a missing jigsaw piece but when they were interlocked with hers they made a completed puzzle. After walking for twenty minutes they arrived at an outdoor ice rink. "We're going skating?" Chloe wondered. He nodded and led her to the ticket booth. Chris put on his skates before helping Chloe put on her own like a true gentleman as she was struggling (on purpose). She took his hand once again as they stepped out onto the ice. The rink had pretty twinkling lights hanging above it. "It's so beautiful here." Chloe beamed looking up as they skated round the rink never breaking apart of their entwined fingers. "Just like you holding my hand." Chris said back. Chloe blushed and smiled at him happily. After skating they both went to find somewhere to eat.

Chris and Chloe both got the chippy then sat down on a wooden bench in a local small park underneath the stars. "Chloe, you're the most amazing girl I've ever met, will you be my girlfriend?" Chris asked her with his eyes glistening in the moonlight. Chloe felt butterflies erupt like crazy in her stomach as his blue eyes pierced into hers. "Come round my house in the afternoon tomorrow, I need to show you something important and it might effect your question." She answered. Chris agreed then walked her home. Jaydon felt excited to learn he was meeting Chris the next day, Chloe however felt anxious about it.
