Finn and Rachel had finally arrived home. They were excited to be back in New York. When they entered their apartment, they were surprised to be greeted by hugs from the whole NY gang. Santana, Kurt, Brittany, Blaine, Marley, Jake, Artie, and Betty.
"Oh My God! What are you guys doing in our apartment?", Rachel asked surprised.
"We thought you guys deserved a welcome get together plus dinner.", Kurt said smiling.
Finn and Rachel looked around their apartment amazed at what they saw. There was a big banner saying 'Welcome Home!", balloons, streamers, and a dining room table full of food.
"You guys are the best.", Finn said.
"Ok, Let's eat", Santana stated and everyone headed to the table.
Once everyone finished dinner, and were starting to eat dessert everyone began to get to talking.
"So how was your trip?", Artie asked.
"It was great. I got to spent a week with my gorgeous wife.", Finn replied.
"I got to spent a wonderful week with my handsome husband on the beach and at a nice dinner." Rachel added.
"That sounds amazing.", Marley said.
"Maybe we should go to Mexico.", Jake said to Marley.
"That would be cool. Hey, we should all go", Betty said with a laugh.
Everyone smiled.
"Hey guys, because you are all here. Brittany and I would like to make an announcement.", Santana said standing up from her chair and smiling at Brittany.
"Omg, what is it?", Kurt shouted.
"Brittany, you can tell them.", Santana said to Brittany hinting she can now spill the news.
"We're getting a baby!", Brittany said excitedly.
"Oh My God! Really?", Rachel said getting to give Santana and Brittany a hug.
"Yes! It's a boy. His name is Lucas James Pierce Lopez. He is seven months old and will be here in two days.", Santana said smiling and holding Brittany's hand.
"How did this happen?", Finn asked.
" We had contacted an adoption agency a couple months back after talking about starting a family. The day you guys left we got a call about him, then another call this morning saying that he can be ours in two days. Papers will be signed, and that's it", Santana said.
"This is so exciting!", Marley said.
"Oh Blaine, I want a baby.", Kurt said to Blaine with his puppy eyes.
"We'll talk about it.", Blaine said grabbing Kurt's hand.
"This kid is going to have so amazing aunts and uncles.", Brittany said.
"For sure.", Artie said.
"The best of the best.", Finn added.
"Our glee family just keeps growing. This was the best news to come home.", Rachel said so happy.
The friends continued to talk some more until it was late and everyone headed to their apartment.
Rachel and Finn were now in their room getting ready for bed.
"That was exciting news. They are going some fun moms.", Finn said sliding in bed.
"It was. I'm so happy for them. It was great surprise to come home too. We have great friends.", Rachel said putting on her pjs then got in bed.
"We do. Do you want kids?"
"Yes, of course. Why?"
"Just asking."
"Do you think we're ready for a kid?", Rachel asked.
"I think we are. We both have good jobs. We do have a spare room that could be a nursery."
"Wow, Finn it looks like you thought about this.", Rachel said with a grin.
"I have sometimes. How couldn't I when I such a amazing wife, that I would love to have beautiful children with. "
"Finn, I think when we get pregnant, we get pregnant. At the right time we will be parents."
"Ok, I love you.", Finn said while pulling Rachel in his arms, and giving her a kiss on the head.
"I love you, too."
The couple laid in each other's arms and slowly feel asleep.
