Chapter 25: Happy Birthday!

Hey guys, I can't believe this is the last chapter for this fanfic. I know wouldn't have gotten this far in my writing if it wasn't for you guys, my readers and voters. It blows my mind when I look and see that my stories together have 25K+ reads and 491 votes! You guys mean so much to me, you've given me so much support for stories, it means the world to me. I've had so much fun writing this story, it's sad to see it end. There were tears shed writing this last chapter, but here it is the final chapter of "How's Life, Rachel".

Today was a big say for the Hudsons. Today was the day that the twins were turning one!

It was seven am, when Finn woke up. When he sat up in his bed, he spotted Rachel starring in the mirror at her stomach.
"Rachel, what are doing?" Finn asked getting up from the bed.
"Nothing," Rachel said quickly putting her shirt down and turning around towards Finn.
"Rachel is there something your not telling me?" Finn asked wrapping his arms around his wife and placing them on her stomach.
"No, " Rachel said," Finn, I'm not pregnant, if that was what your were thinking. Which I know that was what you were thinking."

Finn just gave Rachel a dumb founded look.
"I was just thinking how I can't believe it's been a year since I had the twins. That twelve months ago, they were in my stomach."
"I know, Rachel," Finn said looking at Rachel,"Time has flown by."
"Our babies are growing up so fast," Rachel said and gave Finn a kiss.

All of a sudden, Finn and Rachel started to hear yelling and crying from the twins' nursery.
"Speaking of our babies," Finn said grabbing Rachel's hand and headed to the nursery.

When the couple got to the room, they found the twins in their cribs and Stella in between.
"Mama!" Maria cried once she say Rachel.

"Hey, baby girl," Rachel said picking up Maria,"Stella, what's going in here?"
"I heard the twins wake up, so I came to check on them, then Maria started crying for you," Stella answered.
"Oh, okay," Rachel said with a smile.
"Why don't I go make breakfast for our birthday babies," Finn said smiling with Matthew in his arms.
"Yeah," Stella said.
"Okay, let's go to the kitchen," Rachel said and the family headed to the kitchen.

Finn made a big breakfast for the family. He made pancakes, cut fresh fruit, and made oatmeal.

After the family was done eating and were cleaning up, they heard a knock on the door.
"I'll get it," Rachel said and headed to the door.

Once Rachel opened the door, she found Kurt and Santana on the other side.
"Hey guys, what are you doing here?" Rachel said hugging both of them.
"We are here to help you set up for the party," Kurt said.
"Oh, great," Rachel said,"I feel bad, I haven't even started yet."
"No worries, we are here now," Santana said with a smile.
"Mommy, can I help set up for the party?" Stella asked walking into the living room.
"Absolutely, Stella," Rachel said with a smile.
"What about the twins?" Finn asked coming in the living room with a twin on each of his hips.
"You can take them to me and Blaine's place. Blaine and Brittany can watch them, while we set up," Kurt said.
"Okay, I'll take over," Finn said and walked out the house.
"Okay, let's get going," Santana said.

The group got all of the decorations and started to put them up. Rachel and Finn decided the theme of zoo animals because both of the babies loved them. There were zoo animal theme cups, plates, napkins, steamers, banners, and more.

In wasn't long until they finished everything.
"There," Rachel said,"Everything is done, and just the right amount of time."

Finn then walked in the door with a box in his,"Wow, guys this place looks amazing."
"Thanks," Stella said with a big smile,"Daddy, what's that in your hands?"
"It's your brother and sister's cake. You want to see?" Finn said placing it on the kitchen table.
"Yes!" Stella said.
"Okay, what do you guys think?" Finn asked lifting the led off the cake.
"It's perfect," Rachel said looking at the amazing zoo themed cake.

It was one pm, when everyone started to arrive for the party. All of the glee clubbers came, plus all the grandparents.

The kids were playing games and with toys, and all the adults were having their own side conversations.
"Wow, Rachel I can't believe that the twins are already one," Marley said looking at the twins.
"I know," Rachel said.
"I feels like yesterday when me and Kurt sat with you, when you took the pregnancy tests to find out you were pregnant." Santana said.
"That was one crazy day," Kurt said,"But also exciting day, because I found out that I was becoming a uncle."
"Yes, it was," Rachel said,"That day changed me and Finn's life"
"For the better," Quinn said with a smile,"You guys are great parents."
"Thanks, Quinn. We try," Rachel said.
"You guys don't have to try that hard," Mercedes said with a smile.
"You guys were born to be parents," Tina added.
"Thanks, girls," Rachel said with a smile and continued talking with the girls.

In the other room, the guys were having their own conversation.
"How does it feel to be old, Finn," Puck said with a laugh.
"Great, when I have great family and friends," Finn said.
"It's crazy how big the twins have gotten since the last time I've seen them," Sam said.
"I know, I feels like they grew over night," Finn said.
"Me and Tina felt the same way about Joseph," Mike said.
"Me and Kurt the same way to with Lucy," Blaine said.
"They just grow up fast," Artie said.
"I know, I wish they wouldn't ," Finn said.
"Sorry, but they do," Jake said giving Finn a pat on the back.

The guys laughed and continued their conversation.

Once everyone ate, it was time for cake. Finn brought out the cake and placed it on the table and gathered around the table.

Once everyone was ready and the candles lit they started to sing happy birthday.

Happy Birthday to you.
Happy Birthday to you.
Happy Birthday dear Maria and Matthew.
Happy Birthday to you.

Once they were doing singing the twins blow out their candles and everyone cheered.

Rachel cut the cake and everyone ate it. Then they did presents, where the twins got many new toys and clothes.

Everyone hung out a little bit after that, but then everyone slowing left until everyone was gone. Once everyone was gone, it was time for bed.
"Time for bed," Rachel said looking at the sleepy twins and Stella, who were playing on the carpet.
"Do I have to, I'm not tired," Stella said to her mother.
"Yes, Stell," Rachel said.
"Okay, Good night," Stella said and headed to her room.

"Okay, you two, it bed time," Rachel said picking up the twins and headed to the nursery.

When she got to the nursery she changed to twins in their pjs and placed them in their cribs.
"Have a good night, my sweet babies, I love you so much," Rachel said giving both baby a kiss and leaving the room and headed to Stella's room.

When she got to Stella's room, she found Stella laying her bed. Rachel walked in and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "Good night, Stell. I love you."

Once she was done she headed to her room, when she got to the room she found Finn on the bed.
"Are our birthday babies down?" Finn asked.

"Yes, they are and so is Stella," Rachel said climbing in the bed.
"Today was a good day," Finn said wrapping his arms around Rachel.
"It was," Rachel said looking at Finn and gave him a kiss,"It is everyday with you. You and the kids are my life."
"So, How's Life Rachel?" Finn asked.
"Perfect."
