Chapter 20: What Did You Say?

It was 4pm on a Thursday. Rachel was at home with twins waiting for Finn and Stella.

"I wonder when your daddy and Stella are going to be home?" Rachel asked out loud looking at the twins, who were on the carpet playing.

"Dada," Maria said looking at Rachel.

"What did you say?" Rachel said hopping off the couch on to the carpet next to Maria.

"Dada," Maria said again.

"Oh, my God," Rachel said in shock and excitement,"You said Your first word, baby girl."

All Maria did was smile and went back to playing with her brother.

"Hey, Matthew," Rachel said looking at her son," Do you want to say 'Mama'?"

The baby boy just looked at her and gave a smile.

"Fine, take your time," Rachel said giving the baby a kiss.

Then the door opened, and Finn and Stella walked in.

"Finn, Maria said her first word," Rachel said quickly with excitement to her husband.

"Are you serious?" Stella asked looking at her baby sister.

"Yes," Rachel said picking up the baby,"I was talking about you and your father, then she said 'Dada'"

"Peanut, did you say 'Dada' today?" Finn asked taking the baby form Rachel's arms.

"Dada," Maria said looking at Finn.

"I told you," Rachel said with a smile.

"Our baby is growing up," Finn said looking at the baby and gave her a kiss.

"Did Matthew say anything?" Stella asked holding her brother.

"Nope," Rachel said,"He is keeping quiet."

"He'll talk when he is ready," Finn said.

"Yeah I know," Rachel said,"I'm not going to rush it."

"To add to our baby girl saying her first word, Stella has decided to try out for the school musical," Finn said looking at then Stella.

"Really?" Rachel asked looking at Stella.

"Yeah," Stella said with a smile," Gloria and I are auditioning."

"This is exciting. What is the musical?" Rachel asked.

"It's Annie," Stella said looking at her mother,"The auditions are tomorrow, but I'm scared."

"Stella, you're going to be fine. I know your going to do an amazing job," Rachel said hugging her daughter.

"Thanks mom," Stella said,"I'm going to practice now."

"Okay, sweetie," Rachel said taking Matthew from Stella, then Stella headed to her room," She's going to be amazing Annie."

"Yes, she is.

It was finally time for Stella's audition. She had practiced all night and some in the morning with her mom. She was still a little scared but she was ready.

"Stella Hudson?" Ms Soloman said, who was the person in charge of the whole musical.

"Hello," Stella said walking on the stage.
