I woke to see my two friends still asleep, surprising me, since I was usually the last one ready for everything. I was glad that Mandy came out to us. It must of been a hard having to keep that secret, afraid that your friends would judge you.
The sun was peeking through the curtains and I looked at the clock on the wall, realizing it was 7:18 a.m. That meant we only had 42 minutes to get to school.
I quickly darted off of the couch and shook Emmy and Mandy, who both shrugged me off. I looked around the living room, trying to think of some way to wake them up.
"Hmm I can blast some music...but then I would suffer too. I can- ooh!" I stopped talking to myself and grabbed one of the pillows from the couch, slamming it on their heads. After getting hit repeatedly, both of them stood up with looks of evil of their faces.
Emmy balled her hand into a fist and said, "this is the part where you run, Goldfish." She launched her body at me, but I dodged it and ran right into Mandy. She had a smirk on her face and I had a feeling that this would the last time I would be seen. I squeezed my eyes shut and covered my face.
"Can you invite Channing Tatum to my funeral?" I asked, my eyes still shut. Instead of punching, I heard laughter. I peeked my eyes open and saw Emmy and Mandy with tears in their eyes from laughing. "What?" I asked.
"You should've seen your face! 'Aw they're gonna punch me nooo!'" Emmy said mocking me. I stuck my tongue out at her and went up to Mandy's room to grab some clothes. We always kept clothes at each other's houses and right now, I was really glad for that.
After getting a random t-shirt (the shirt literally has the word random on it) and some jeans, I took a shower and walked back downstairs to meet up with the two lunatics.
"Come on vamanos! Everybody let's go! Come on let's get to it, I know that we can do it!" We all sang as we headed out of the door, to Mandy's car.
The ride was pretty short, giving that Mandy lived the closest to the school. She parked and we all headed inside, parting ways as we walked to our lockers. We had lockers in different parts of school. We tried to get them moved next to each other, but no one was willing to switch.
"Hey." Someone said. I moved my locker door out of the way and saw Max leaning against.
"Uh...Hey Max." I said. I knew he wanted to get back together, but I had made it clear that that wouldn't happen again.
He just stared at me for a while before speaking up. "So I was wondering If you wanted to grab some food after school." A look of uncertainty crossed his face before he covered it with a smirk. I seriously didn't know why he kept smirking.
"Sorry, but I have to catch up on some...art homework. Yeah, I have to finish an art assignment...at home so..." It was obvious that I was lying, but I don't think Max noticed. He was pretty gullible at times.
"How about tomorrow?" He persisted.
"The assignment is gonna take more than a day." I lied.
He frowned, and said a quick, "ok," before walking off to his class.

At lunch, we had grilled cheese sandwiches and Emmy was elated. She loved just about anything that had cheese and if it tasted bad to Emmy, it tasted horrible to everyone else. Luckily, the grilled cheese passed the Emmy test so I grabbed one.
