So I was digging through this "craft bucket" thing from when I was like, 8, and found this old journal where I wrote these little stories about animals.
What stories? You may ask. (probably didn't tho)
Okay so there was this one book about two mice twins named Moe (the gal) and Joe (the dude). They lived in a mountain so it was always cold so they needed to get firewood. They go outside and get chased by a fox until they find a hiding spot infested with rats.
Friendly rats.
The leader is all friendly to them and introduces himself as Ralphey and his friend named Danvey. Then he sees this evil owl and yells at them all to run. But Moe being the female genius protagonist tells her brother to shake some pepper shaker that appeared from thin air to make the owl go away.
The owl leaves, sneezing uncontrollably and unknowingly drops this pure-white mouse he was trying to capture named Isabella (yes, this is that one female character that is always being kidnapped and needs her rat entourage to save her all the time).
Then a time skips happens where the rat army and the three mice just hide in these rocks and Isabella is constantly being kidnapped by the owl and saved just in time. Until...
PLOT TWIST!
The owl actually captures her!!!!!!!
Moe, Joe, Ralphey, and Danvey all go on this epic adventure to find her. They stumble upon this, quote from my third grade spelling skillz, "mobeel"
Every gets in the car thingy except Moe, who was about to get in before (rat tech must not be too great) the mobile speeds off without warning.
Ralphey screams some crap about how he can't stop it and Moe is left behind.
BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!
Moe cries for like an entire day until she falls asleep in the middle of nowhere. She wakes up when another (must I add talkative) mouse named Lucy comes up and starts blabbering about how Moe's not alone.
Lucy talks about StarClan knows what, and unknowingly wanders into the forest with Moe trailing behind. But since Moe was THAT smart, she's like "Oh no! We walked into the forest!"
Then they see the owl and climb a tree (because mice can totally do that) as fast as possible and hide in the leaves. They spot the cage where Isabella is being kept and free her, and Moe (as I said, genius protagonist) somehow kills the owl. They start climbing down but then Lucy falls and is almost knocked out, but not actually.
Isabella and Moe see if she's okay and Lucy starts muttering random stuff about needing to get Danvey the rat for whatever reason. Then, for the convenience of the plot, the car with Ralphey, Danvey, Joe, and the other rats show up.
Moe and Joe share some heartfelt twin moment and Danvey says Lucy will be fine. Then the kinda just all leave and the ending says, "Moe and Joe went home. But... Moe and Joe forgot wood..."
Must I mention that the name of this is Battles, Battles, Battles! My puny third grade mind was not very creative.
