Although it feels like Joe and his family have been with us since the very beginning of Family Guy, they actually turned up five episodes in, when they moved next door to the Griffins. Initially Peter was jealous that people thought Joe was a hero even though he was in a wheelchair, but they soon became firm friends. As well as Joe there's his wife Bonnie, who for the first seven seasons of the show was pregnant, a situation that went on for so long Peter demanded "Have the baby or not". Eventually baby Susie was born, a cute little girl who Stewie has a bit of a crush on. Oddly, the voice in Susie's head that we occasionally hear has a baritone English accent and sounds like Patrick Stewart! Early on the Swansons also had a teenage son called Kevin, but he was tragically killed in Iraq, or so everyone thought until Season 10!
