Chapter 8 - Abygale versus Azi Dahaka

Hibiki's Pov

- Nightmare -

I was in the place where Akatsuki showed me... the ocean. "Hibiki?" She called. I turned to her. "No matter what happens, we'll always be together, nobody could separate us from meeting each other." Akatsuki said in a cheerful voice and she smiles. Then the sky started to darken. "We should get going..." I said. Akatsuki nodded. The moment we took a step forward, a bullet just shot Akatsuki in the heart. Her eyes widened and she coughed up blood. "Akatsuki!" I got out my gun and shooted towards where the bullet had come from. After that, there was a moment of silence. I went beside Akatsuki and shook her. "Akatsuki... Please don't die on me..." I whispered as I lowered my head while my bangs were covering my eyes. I felt a hand interwine with mine. "Akatsuki?" "Hibiki, don't worry about me, you should get out, they might be looking for you..." "No...I'm not leaving without you." I said while I gripped Akatsuki's hand firmly. "It's okay, this was meant to happen to me... now go!" Akatsuki said. "But..." "Don't worry about me... I'll always be there for you..." Akatsuki's voice started fading away. "Akatsuki..." Then I heard gun shots and explosions.
I started running through the dark forest. The enemies who killed my friends, they'are were chasing me. They kept on chanting "Just give up!" But I didn't want to listen so I kept on running until I outrun them. Then I started to feel that the ground were collapsing. I heard screams of my friends. The ground was collapsing, and I ended up falling into darkness. Suddenly out of nowhere, chains started chaining my wrists and my ankles. The chains were pulling me deeper down into some kind of dark void. When I looked below, it was leading me to the deepest depths of the sea. I struggled to escape from these chains but all it does is making it tighter each and every movements I make. My skin started to form bruises and scratches since the chains were scraping my skin. It started bleeding. Blood started to flow through the water. My uniform started to tear apart. I winced in pain as my bruises started to swell up. I kept on struggling to unchain myself, but it was too late, my vision started to get blurry and hazy. Black spots started to invade my vision.

My eyes shot wide open. I quickly got up from my bed. I realized, It was just a nightmare. "It was just a nightmare..." I panted in fear. I noticed familiar wet substances started rolling down my pale cheeks.
"Tears..." It's been so long that I've...cried. I thought that my tears had already dried up years ago.  When I looked at the clock, it was about 5:45. "I should get ready for school." I stood up from my bed, I tried to keep myself balanced. I walked downstairs to get a glass of water to reveal the stress that I've been through. "Hibiki?" Rika-san called. "What's wrong, it seems like you've seen a ghost..." Rika-san said in concern. "It's fine....I just had a nightmare." I said with a blank tone. "Are you sure? You look paler than usual." "I'm fine." I sighed as I took sip of water from my glass. I changed into my clothes. Rika-san turned on the TV.

"The World Buddy Cup, well known as the WBC Cup. The Cho-Tokyo Championship which will act as a preliminary round, will open tomorrow at Aibo Gakuen!" The reporter reported. "Tomorrow is going to be a big day for you. I'll be visiting Aibo Gakuen's Buddy fight stadium to watch you and the others compete. Good luck out there!" Rika-san said. I nodded and went out of the door.

- Time Skip -

I was walking on my way to the Gaen Tower. It wasn't that far away from home. This was the first time visiting the Gaen Tower, and I was a bit concerned of what kind of plans does he in stored for today. The building was huge, of course since Kyoya is the leader of the Gaen Financial Group which is known as a highly ranked financial group through generations in Cho-Tokyo. The reason how I knew this , it's because Rika-san kept telling me how great is Gaen Kyoya. Saying that he is one of the best buddyfighters out there. But I don't believe her, he is just some leader who owns the financial group.
