Chapter 1 - The New Beginning

- 7 year old -

Hibiki's past:

"Hibiki!" Akatsuki called. "Akatsuki. What's wrong?" "I have a place to show you!" Akatsuki said cheerfully. "Okay." I answered with a blank tone. She smiles, she took my hand and led me through the forest. It only took about 10 minutes to get there. "Here we are!" Akatsuki said. When I looked around, I was stunned. It was a crystal blue ocean. Through my whole entire life has only filled with despair, sadness, and fear... but now, I saw the opposite side of things. There things that are good and things that are...bad. It was amazing that there's such a place like this in this world. "It's amazing..." A gush of wind blew my silver hair. "Isn't it? I knew you would like the ocean! It's so peaceful... The sound of waves, it calms me down." Akatsuki said while looking into the distance. When I looked into the distance, I saw something, It looked like a missile, and it's heading towards us. "Dodge!" I yelled. Me and Akatsuki dodged the missile as the missile exploded against a tree. "Let's get out of here!" I said while I grabbed Akatsuki's hand and started running.

Suddenly more missile started coming towards us. We were running as fast as possible to get away from the flying missiles. Then I realized that we were in a dead end at the edge of a cliff. When I looked below, it was an ocean. "Akatsuki, we have to jump." "What?! Are you crazy?! We could die!" Akatsuki said. "Look below, it's water, it means there is a chance of living. We have no other choice of jumping off this cliff." I said. I noticed there was another missle heading towards us. "Ready, set, go!" We jumped off the cliff, hoping that we won't drown to death. We fell into the ocean and big waves engulfed us. I swam upwards to get some air. When I was at the top, I saw Akatsuki drowning. "Akatsuki!" I called as I tried to swim towards her. But I couldn't, the waves kept on pulling me further back from Akatsuki. "Hibiki..." Then her whole entire body started sinking. "AKATSUKI!" I started using all of my strength to push myself into the water.

While I was in the water, a big wave was heading towards. When the wave splashed against the water below, it started pulling me back. My strength was beginning to weaken as my whole entire body started sinking. "I'm sorry..." Everything went black.

- Time Skip -

My eyes fluttered open as I realized about the last incident with Akatsuki. "Akatsuki!" I thought as I got up quickly but I was pushed back down. "You must rest." A woman with brownish caramel colored hair, brown eyes, wearing a shrine maiden clothe with a red skirt said. "Where is Akatsuki?" I demanded. "Your friend is in the other room, resting apparently." The woman said. "Why there were missiles coming out of nowhere?" I asked. "So it started, huh?" "What do you mean?" I asked. She started explaining of what's happening about the missiles coming out of nowhere situation.

- Time Skip -

They even introduced me to the members of the destroyer's class. Apparently, all of the people in this academy were girls, it means it is a girl's academy. I was introduced to Ikazuchi and Inazuma. Ikazuchi was a energetic girl with short brown-caramel colored hair including Inazuma but she is more of a quiet type. Mostly, Akatsuki and Ikazuchi fight over of who's going to lead then Inazuma would end up crying since she doesn't like people fight. So I would scold them like a big sister would do when she take care of her little siblings. They were good friends.

A few years later...

12 years old

- Night time -

"Hibiki! Akatsuki! Ikazuchi! Inazuma!" "Yes, commander." We answered. "You have an expedition! We've been targeted by another ship. We should hold our forces into action." "Yes, commander." We answered and we went to equip our armors, weapons, fuel and ammo. "Hibiki." Akatsuki called. "What is it?" "This..." Akatsuki reached out her hand, in her hand was a necklace. "What's this for?" I asked. "It's just to keep those precious memories that we spent time together. See?" She had another necklace and handed me the other necklace. "Arigatou..." "Let's go!" Akatsuki said. "Yeah!"
