Chapter 11 - Stolen Hissatsu Monster Card

Hibiki's Pov

"Nee, Hibiki! How did it go with the WBC Cup?" Rika-san asked. "I made it to the top 8." I answered. "Really?! I'm so proud of you! That's my Hibiki for you!" Rika-san exclaimed. I silently left my seat and went towards the door. I slid my feet into my shoes and grabbed my school bag. "Do your best out there!" Rika-san said. I just nodded in reply. I slowly turned the door knob and my day started.

- Arrived at school -

I arrived at school early and it seems they was only a few students in the classroom. I laid my bag at the side of my desk and headed outside of the classroom. In the meantime I need a little talk with Leviathan. "Leviathan." I called as he appeared from his card. "Yes, Hibiki?" "I need to talk to you in private, please." I said. "Of course." I lead Leviathan into the music room. "Leviathan? I have something to tell you... It's about our fight with...Kyoya." Something triggered inside of Leviathan's mind. Leviathan's expression darkens and his eyes started to flash a crimson color. He was furious and started growling. It was my first time seeing Leviathan looking like this. "Hey... Calm down--" "How can I calm down?! Aren't you even realizing of what will happen if we lose against them?!" He growled.

My eyes widened for a second as I stood there in fear. Then his eyes turned back into his original silver color. "I...apologize for my...actions from before." He said as he lowers his head. "No...it's fine." I replied. What is this sensation that I'm feeling. A pang went through my chest. "Do I feel pity for him?" Then for some reason, my body started to move by its own. I pulled Leviathan into an embrace. I never felt this before...I feel...safe. "Hibiki..." Leviathan was utterly shocked. Then he slowly returned the embrace.

- Time Skip -

We were about to leave the music room but a voice interrupted.
"Hibiki!" "Gao..." He was holding boxes of pizzas. "Here, my mom went overboard and she made too much so I've decided to share them to you." Gao said with a grin. Bal gave one of the boxes of pizzas to me. I reached out my hands out. "Ari...gatou." I replied with a stoic expression as I received the box of pizza. "Your welcome, bal!" Bal smiled. "We'll be heading to Gaito, see you later!" Gao and Bal rushes to find Gaito and Abygale. "Wait." I called. "Hmm?" Gao turned around. "I could carry those boxes for you if you want. It seems like you needed some help... " I said calmly. Then Gao's eyes lit up in glee. "Arigatou, Hibiki!" Gao thanked as he shot a grin. He lend me some of the pizza boxes.

*At the gym *

We went to the gym which was kind of odd but Bal told that Gaito and Abygale is located in the gym so we give it a shot. When we arrived at the gym, we saw Abygale standing in front of the storage room. "Abygale!" Bal called. Bal ran over to Abygale and gave him a pizza box. "This isn't much, bal!" "And what's this?" "Pizza, bal!" Bal replied. "You see, my mom made way too muh of these..." Gao added. "Where's Gaito, bal?" Bal asked. "He's in the middle of fine-tuning his deck." Abygale answered. "Bal can't see Gaito, bal?" "There's nothing we can do about it. Let's go home, Bal." Gao had a apollegetic smile. "But..." Bal looked upset. "There are many things that you have to take care of before a Buddyfight." Gao replied. "But... Bal really wants Gaito to eat the 'isn't much'!" Suddenly Bal started to head towards the storage room door. "Hey! You can't, Bal!" Gao shouted. "Let Bal through, bal!" Bal shouted. "No!" Abygale shot back. "Bal!" Gao shouted. "Bal Punch!" Bal exclaimed. "What?" A big red punching glove appeared out of the pizza box. It punched through the door.

"Gaito!" Bal called. Gaito was tuning his deck. "What?" Gaito spat coldly.
"This isn't much, bal!" Bal said as he hold out a pizza box. "Bal insists on giving this to you." Abygale added.
"I thought I told you not to let anyone past you." Gaito said. "Sorry." Abygale replied. "Bal just wants Gaito to eat this pizza, bal." Bal exclaimed.
"Don't want it. Get out of my sight." Gaito declined as he sent Bal a cold glare. "S-Sorry to interrupt you, Gaito." Gao apologized. Gaito's gaze went over to me instead of Gao. "Oh, it's you." Gaito said as he stared daggered at me. "Kurouzu Gaito..." I muttered under my breath as I stared at him with cold icy blue eyes. "Did you use your Buddy to try and snoop at my deck?" Gaito asked Gao. "No!" Gao protested. "As long as I have this Hissatsu Monster Card, I won't lose." Gaito said as he hold his Hissatsu Monster Card between his fingers. "We were just trying to..."
