Chapter 9 - Regional Preliminaries

Hibiki's Pov

I was fighting against one of the opponents who was only left with 5 life points. "Leviathan, attack the fighter." I instructed as Leviathan slashed the opponent with his sharp claws. "How did she do that? Look at the world she's using, it's an unknown world." People were whispering to each other but I didn't really care about them.

- At the Aibo Gakuen's stadium -

"The Best 16 fighters have made it through the preliminary rounds, and in a few moments... The matches that will determine the Best 10 fighters are about to begin! Here in the Main Stadium, the fans are really heating up the place with their excitement and anticipation! I Nanana Paruko, will be offering commentary on this live broadcast! And! The first fighter to appear is... The genius Buddyfighter, our hero, Tasuku Ryuenji-sama!"

"The next Buddyfighter is an eight-grader from Sengoku Academy's junior high school! The head monitor, Shosetsu Kirisame! Continuing on, we have Aibo Gakuen Elementary School Sixth Grader, the so-called Mighty Sun Fighter! Mikado Gao!"

His attacks can't be nullified!" Bal swing his huge gigantic hammer and smashed against the opponent. "Bal Burst Smasher!" He smashed the opponent. "Game End! Winner, Gao Mikado!" "Osu Arigatougousai mashita!" "Mikado Gao defeats a powerful opponent, Shosetsu Kirisame, and heads on the Best 10!" After the next match is finished, it's my turn. "Leviathan, you ready?" I asked. "This ability destroys one of the opponents monsters, and destroys the same number of deck cards as the monster's size!" "I still have one Blitz Tiger in my deck!" "I believe I told you there'd be no next turn." "Nani?" "Final Phase!" "You gloomy jerk!" "Center ni Hissatsu Call! I pay 3 gauge and transform Abygale into a Hissatsu Monster! He is now a Size 3 monster with 8000 power and defense. And a critical of 3." "Now you will learn Gaito's true power!" Abygale said. "Uchyuu no chirito dare! (Scatter in space, like Stardust!)" "Vanishing Death Hole!" "Dammit!" "Game End! Winner, Kurouzu Gaito! He's heading for the Best 10!"

There's an new announcement, there is a girl contestant named Hibiki Verniy Dekabrist who has been transferred to Aibo Gakuen. She is going against Kouda Hiroya! (random name) They're both are Sixth Graders!" "Isn't that the girl who went for the Best 16?" People started talking. "Awaken the ancient lords of dragons from their eternal slumber of the fallen ruins. Luminize, Dragons of Infinite Rebirth. (Mugen Fukkatsu no ryuu)" "The binding of light and darkness! Luminize! Shadow's Nightmare!" "Buddy...fight!" "Raise the flag!" "Danger World!" Hiroya said. "Fallen Ancient World." "Fallen Ancient World?! I've never heard such world called Fallen Ancient World before. "Ha, whatever. It's not like a girl like you is going to win. What makes you think that you're going to win?" He asked in an annoying tone. I glared at him. "Draw. Charge and draw. I call Fallen Archdragon, Sephira to the left. I buddy call to the right, Leviathan Broken-Scales the Brimstone. It's a Size 3 monster with 13000 power and 10000 defense, it also has a critical of 5." I said. "13000 power?!" "I pay 1 gauge and 1 life to equip, Alpha Meson Shooter." The color of the gun  is tainted in black and white. "Is that all you've got, what a sore loser. You don't deserve to win this fight. How pathetic." He snorted in an annoying tone. I clenched my fist. My face darkens as I sent him a menacing glare. "Don't even call me pathetic." My clothes changed just like the time when I was in training. "Sephira, attack the fighter." It caused him 6 damages. "Leviathan join him." Leviathan slashes the fighter which  caused 5 damages. I lunged towards the fighter with incredible speed that even the audiences couldn't see. "W-Where did she go?" I was right behind him and I triggered the gun at him as a white light engulfed him. He dealt with 3 damages. "Y-Yeah whatever, I-I can do m-much better than t-that!" He stuttered.

He adds 2 life points which adds up to 3 life points. "Ha, now it's my turn, and it's pretty obvious that after you end your turn, I'm going to win this fight." "My turn isn't over yet." I said darkly. "Huh?" "Final Phase." "Final Phase?! - Nyah!" "What?! That girl has a Hissatsu Monster?!" People started chattering all over the place."I pay 3 gauge and turn Leviathan into a Hissatsu Monster!" I said. "He is currently still a Size 3 monster, 20000 power and 15000 defense, with a critical of 8." "20000 power?!" "Void Razor!" Leviathan forms a electrical red and black colored energy ball in his mouth. He blast it towards the fighter. "Game End! Winner, Hibiki Verniy Dekabrist! She's now taken the last position of the Best 10! Now the WBC Cup Cho-Tokyo Championship Best 10 are all set!" I sighed. "At least we won..." I thought. "Well, let me introduce once again the eight Buddyfighters who made it to the Best 10! First up, many say he's the number 1 fighter in Aibo Gakuen's Junior High Division! It's Todoroki Genma! Next! He recently transferred to Aibo Gakuen's Junior High Division. The Prince Buddyfight and a former Buddy Police officer, Ryuenji Tasuku! The eye of the storm in this championship! Kurouzu Gaito! The man with two smiles! Kageo Wataru! The mysterious masked man! Masuka Raid! And everybody knows Mikado Gao! The robot-master, Dash Kazakiri! A spark of fire who lit the stadium with excitement, Akai Tsubasa! Lastly, the unknown ace Buddyfighter who gave us a unexpected fight, Hibiki Verniy Dekabrist! Finally, I'm told a Buddyfighter who win at a different stadium is headed this way!" A holographic screen appeared above. It was showing a fishing boat which was going in full speed. "But he's showing no sign of dropping speed! He's gonna crash!" Then out of nowhere a huge monster had just come out of the water, it picked the boat up and throw it while aiming it towards the stadium. The roof of the stadium opened. The boat landed on the stage without breaking into bits of pieces. Then a boy came out of the boat. He had light blue hair with streaks of cyan. He also had like a fishing-man-Japanese clothing. "Sorry to keep you waiting! I'm Kaido Dai!" "Looks like it's going to be a long day ahead of us..." I thought.
