Chapter 7 - Training Session

Hibiki's Pov

I was on my way to school. "Can't wait, bal!" "The WBC Cup!" "Bal can't wait to become Buddy Champion, bal!" Then Noboru interrupts. "It's not going to be that easy!" "Noboru?" "Kitten Shirt! Good morning, bal!" "I keep telling you, it's a tiger! The WBC Cup is going to attract the best fighters from around the world!" Noboru yelled as a tick mark appeared on his head. "Bal will knock out any enemy, bal!" "The other day, you ate so much pizza that you couldn't move, and on top of that, you were snoring through Final Phase! You've got some nerve saying that!" Noboru said with an evil toothy grin. "Bal..." "Noboru has a point there." Baku said. "Bal-chan only started Buddyfight recently." Kuguru said.

I should start training for the preliminaries. I walked into an open space somewhere in the forest near the school. It was a perfect spot to train. "Leviathan." I called as Leviathan came out of his card. "Why did you call me here for?" "Training, we should train for the regional preliminaries." I said with a deadpanned expression. "This should be a good spot." I thought. "Leviathan, you attack me and I will use my item to slash back the opponent which is you, but I'm not actually trying to harm you." "I equip, Alpha Meson Shooter." I got into my position. "10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2....1!" I started to run towards Leviathan with full speed. Leviathan started firing sharp spikes towards me as he tries to attack. I dodged and jumped and shooted him from the back which caused 5 damages. He still stood up and formed a dark blue energy ball in his mouth. He blasted the energy ball towards me. " I blocked it with my shield card while I back flipped away from him. I jumped onto his back, but as I was on his back, he noticed that I was there and used his claws to get me off him. I dodged it as quickly as possible. I saw his claws coming towards me to attack and his claw missed me as I jumped backwards. I got back into my stance. I sprinted which was twice as fast of my average speed. I lunged at him with my gun. Before I was about to shoot him, my gun started to glow white including my navy hat and uniform. My gun formed into a mechanic futuristic gun with silver shining lines and it was the color white. My hat changed into the color white with a red-coloured star, a hammer-sickle combined together. The uniform didn't looked like a sailor-like uniform, it was different. (The picture above in the media). "Light Accel." I said as I did a 12-shoot combo on him which an explosion was made. He was only left with three life point, and finally I pointed my gun towards him. After that, my clothes changed back to normal. "Training's over..." Leviathan went transformed into his minature size. By the looks of it, both of us weren't exhausted. But I'll call it for a day. Then I felt a presence, but it wasn't only one, there was a bunch of them. I gripped my gun and turned around. When I turned around, it was just Gao, Kuguru, Baku, Bal, Noboru, and 3 new faces that I never seen before. One of them was a boy with yellow and green colored jacket, 'bananas' on his head with headphones and a cap. The other one was definitely not a human. It was a demon, he wore a yellow jacket with horns on it. Lastly, it was a boy with a dark blue ponytail, a white suit and transparent goggles, and it looks like his goggles has cracked. "H-Hibiki?" Gao called. They were left with a shocked expression. "H-How did you do that?" Gao asked. "..............." I kept silent as the damages that Leviathan caused started to disappear. "Kaeruzo, Leviathan." Me and Leviathan started walking away. "Matte! (Wait!)" Gao said. I turned around. "Maybe someday, we should buddy fight together, I want to see how strong you are." Gao said. "You might as well watch us Buddy fight if you like to." Gao added as I left.

- At the Stadium -

"Bringing you a Buddyfight between Mikado Gao and Kurodake Tetsuya! And as usual, he'll be bringing you the commentary!" "Sleeping underground for countless years, Ozon B can sing too, so never fear!~ Still looking for a Buddy!~" Ozon B sings while doing a peace sign. "Let's get started. Mister Ozon B, what are your predictions for this match?" Paruko asked. "Thank! Thank you! What's that? You want my autograph?" "Do your job properly!" Paruko yelled as she used her UFO to shoot electric rays onto Ozon B. "Oh! Ultraviolet rays are a special treat for me!" "Rise, sun! Burn, sun! Luminze! Scorching Sun Dragon!" "Let's study with the Demon Lord! Luminize! Devil's School! Yo!" "Buddy... Fight!" "Raise the flag!" "Dragon World!" "Magic World! Yo!" "First move goes to Mikado Gao!" "Charge and draw! I pay 1 gauge and Buddy call to the right! Dragon of the Sun, Bal Dragon!" "Bal!" "Bal, bal, bal, bal, bal!" Bal lunged towards Tetsuya to attack without Gao instructing him. "Hey, Bal!" "Bal!" Bal slashed Tetsuya by 2 damages. "My turn is over." Gao said. "He's being very aggressive. On the attack!" Ozon B said with a cool tone. "(Kimochi warui!) Ew! Creepy! Creepy!" Paruko sprayed Ozon B with some kind of spray. "No! Not the UV Protection Spray! If you block the ultraviolet rays, I'll decompose faster." He said as his voice started fading to his regular tone.
