"Hello?"

I hear breathing on the line, but no voice.

"Uh..Hello?"

Still no answer until they say..

"Grace Tate?"

"Who is this?"

"This is Lynn calling from Brunwick's Psychiatric Office. Do we need to have another checkup?"

No no no no. Not again.

"Oh, hi Lynn. I'll discuss it with mom, but I don't think there will be a need. I'm doing great thanks!"

You're a nasty liar. They don't even care anyways.

"Oh you sound much better Grace! We will text back in a few months to confirm your wellness. Thank you!"

If you are even alive in a few months.

It's three o'clock and I don't have anything to do. Maybe Karol and I can hang out.

Me: Hey Karol wanna hang?

Karol: OMG I'm so sorry Grace! Gonna have to raincheck mom is making me clean the house! So sorry!

Well there goes that idea. Maybe I'll just sit for awhile.

Do you honestly think I'm just gonna let you sit there in peace?

Maybe I can just sit and draw a little. I draw an eye. It's blue with a yellow ring between the iris and pupil, just like my own. And then I put on winged eyeliner on it and it's finished. I decide to color it and then my phone buzzes. It's a text.

Hey Grace, this is Jared. Just thought I should apologize for storming out on you like I did. I guess your prediction about me was right.

What do you say to something like that?

Jared I'm really sorry too. You're not that bad. But you're still a popular jock so I assumed the worst.

Do I want to send it?

I click send.

Well well, Grace Tate. What about that offer on lunch?  That'll give me a chance to sneak you out of the hospital ;)

Actually Jared Hank, I'm already out of the hospital. So, too bad there!

Ohh well give me your address and I'll pick you up!

My phone buzzed.

Grace? I was just kidding, don't be so serious.

He's playing me like a violin. I can't trust him. He's Jared Hank.

Jared POV

Why won't she just let me in? I want to show Meredith how close I can get. I want to show her that I can trick anyone and that'd of do it for her!

She won't answer me! I'm about to throw on Prince Charming and go find this girl!

I know her mom has a bright blue car. I'm driving down East London Lane when I see it. Her house. I pull in and I see her through her window. This isn't one of those cliche things where I can just climb up a tree and be there. I'll have to work to get up there.

After 10 minutes of working up there I can knock on her window.

*knock knock*

Grace POV

I'm trying to decide what I need to do about Jared. I'm pulled between accepting his offer and blowing him off all together.

*knock knock*

What is that? Jared?!
