|Pack Mom|

"We have a problem." Derek says as he walks into the bedroom he shares with his girlfriend, holding none other than Liam roughly by the arm. The girl looks up, her brow furrowing when she saw the young beta beside her boyfriend.

"H-Hi, Y/N..." The young beta chuckles nervously, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Liam, what are you doing here? It's almost midnight." She asks, but her tone is much more gentle than Derek's. The blonde sighs, looking down at his feet.

"It's a long story..." He says slowly.

"We've got time." She says, rising to her feet.

"We do?" Derek questions, clearly too annoyed with the beta to actually reason. She sighs.

"Derek, I'll talk to Liam, you...go do whatever it is you need to do." She sighs, gently tugging the younger boy away from her boyfriend. "I got this." Derek sighs softly and nods, pressing a kiss to his girlfriend's forehead before exiting the bedroom. Y/N lowers herself back to the bed, gently pulling the freshman down beside her. "Now, talk to me. What's going on, hm?" She asks, raising her eyebrows. Liam sighs, playing pathetically with his fingers.

"My parents kicked me out." He whispers. "Apparently my IED became "too much" for them to handle. But I don't see how it can suddenly be too much, considering they didn't even care before." He mutters, and she can feel the pain and sadness radiating off his body.

"Oh, Liam..." She whispers, sighing quietly. He laughs sadly, shaking his head.

"I'm scared..." He whispers, looking up at the older girl with his baby blue eyes. "I'm really freaking scared, Y/N..." She sighs, gently pulling his head into the crook of her neck and he gladly accepts, sniffing slightly as he allows her fingers to brush softly through his short, blonde hair.

"Hey, listen..." She murmurs, resting her chin gently on his head. "Don't worry about anything, okay? I'm gonna talk to Derek and I'll see what he thinks about you staying here with us, okay? For as long as you need." He looks up at her, his brow furrowing.

"You'd do that for me?" He whispers.

"Of course I would, Liam. You're part of the pack, I'd do anything for you wackos." She jokes with a gentle smile and he chuckles, wiping his watery eyes with the back of his hand and nodding.

"Thank you, Y/N." He murmurs, pulling her back into an embrace. The girl gladly accepts, rubbing a gentle hand up and down the younger boy's back in comfort.

"It's not a problem." She smiles, pressing her lips gently to his temple. "Now, wait here, I'm gonna go talk to sour wolf, okay?" The younger boy nods and she smiles, giving him one more gentle squeeze before getting up and walking out the door. She doesn't even notice her smiling boyfriend until she shuts the door, nearly jumping out of her skin when she sees him standing there. "Oh my God, Stiles was right, you really are everywhere," She sighs. "Derek Hale, you were eavesdropping weren't you?"

"You're really good with him, you know." He says, raising his eyebrows. Her brow furrows and she gives him a look.

"What?" She asks in confusion.

"With Liam. You're like the mom of the pack." He smiles. The girls grins, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"I guess I am, huh?" She giggles softly. "Does that mean he can stay?" The alpha sighs, but smiles softly.

"Yeah, he can stay." He murmurs, kissing her forehead softly.

"Thank you!" She squeals, leaping into his arms in excitement. "Liam!" She shrieks in excitement, moving back into the bedroom to tell the beta the good news. "Liam, sweetie, he said you could s--" she stops dead on her tracks when she sees he boy fast asleep on the bed, his lanky body curled into a tight ball. She giggles quietly, pulling a blanket from the edge of the bed and spreading it over the young beta. She leans down, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead.

"Sleep well, kiddo."
