Chapter 16 - gaara

Naru p.o.v 

Its been a week since the hokage and his wife actually remembered me. The whole time they have been trying to get close to me, i have to restrain myself from punching them in the face. Right know i'm on my way to minatos office with my team. I knocked on the door and waited "come in" came the hokages voice i pushed the door open and he brigtened up. We then showed him our ANBU masks pointing out we have a mission to do while participating in the chuunin exams. He nodded and we left with the slips. We are still genin technically, you have to be over 12 to become a chuunin, our team was offered to join the ANBU and we accepted the offer. So we're still genin. We were walking along a path way and see menma, mito and that screaming banshee that we don't like talking to two sand shinobi I recognised as temary and konkuro. I looked at the tree next to them to see gaara hanging upside down. I throw a kunai at all three of them. Temary and konkuro were hit gaara deflected it.They looked at me only to see a crazed grin nothing else because of my hood. Gaara cravked a small smile while the other two were confused and surprised to see gaara smile i am the only friend he has and can make him smile. Temary and konkuro don't know its me because i can walk through their village without my hood and ANBU mask because of a solo mission i did in their village, long story short my mask broke and everyone there could see who i am, I'm actually a hero there for bring back their dead 2nd hokage and telling them the culprit on who killed him. "Naru! Long time no see!" Gaara called out to me snapping temary and konkuro out of there confusion "NARUTO?!" They yelled "guilty as charged" i said fling my hands in the air " menma, mito screaming banshee i eould sugest you don't piss these guys off or your gonna die young, anyway me and gaara have some catching up to do" i said dragging gaara away. "So this is you village?" Gaara said when we were far away from the others "yep so your entering the chuunin exams?" I said "yea and i'm guessing you are aswell?" "Yes and my'family' finally remembered me and have been trying to get close to me" i said in an angry tone and my face went dark so did his "they are idiots wait who are your 'parents'?" He said curiously, i sighed "the fourth hokage minato namikaze and the red hot habanero kushina uzumaki and my siblings are those two idiots from before menma and mito uzukaze" i said surprising him "know i know why you look like the fourth hokage" he said in a know-it-all voice "sometimes i wish i could run away from the village but i can't i'm a shinobi here and have duty to protect the village" i said in a kill-me voice "well if you do run away you know that you can come to either kiri, kumo or my village suna you are good friends with each leader" he said and i nodded we got up from our sitting place and i started showing him around the village thats when we were called to the hokages office for some reason. At the time we were called they were jumping from roof to roof so i decided to go through the window "come on lets go through the window" i said pointing at it he smirked and nodded. Since it was open we just jumped through scaring the hokage and kazekage who had been talking while waiting for the two of us to arrive not thinking we would jump through the window "should have thought you would do that" the kazekage said we grinned crazyly at him we turned to the hokage once he had coughed to get our attention "so hokage why did you call naru and my son gaara?" The kazekage asked "well you see..." He then explained the situation between us and to say the kazekage was angry is an understatement.
