What do you do
When you can't go on?
When your body, mind, heart -
All tell you they've had enough?
Is it giving up
To give in,
And lie down in the road,
And stop chasing those foolish,
Unrealistic hopes and dreams,
And forget those promises
That were never made to keep?
What do you do
When you can't go on?
Do you push yourself till you break,
Snapped in two
Like a wooden doll
Or torn apart
Like a page?
Or do you stop,
Listen to your body, mind, heart,
And breathe?
