Hushed numbness in the air
And buzzing in my ears
My heart pounding out a funeral march
My brain, firing on all circuits
Fails, refuses, to comprehend
Did you just say
You love her?
I am mute,
For how now can I ever say to you,
What you just said to her?
I walk away
To my heart pounding out a funeral march.
