I'm not going to enjoy myself, I say over and over again in my head as we drive down the interstate. He told me I had to come with him, and I got no choice about it. He has the radio volume cranked up to extreme levels and is currently singing "Heat of the Moment" by Asia at the top of his lungs.

I roll my eyes, and go to lower it, but his hand reaches out and grabs mine, and he continues singing as we roll down the road.

He begins hitting the steering wheel with the hand not on mine, and I begin to seriously fear for our life. I'm pretty sure if my Driver's Ed teacher saw him right now, he'd actually pass out. Or die.

Aaron lets go of my hand and belts out, "The heat of the moment, showed in your eyesssss."

The song finishes a few moments later and I breathe a sigh of relief. "Do you always drive like that?"

He looks over at me, and raises his arms up till they hit the ceiling.

The moron is driving with his knees.

I shriek and make a dive for the steering wheel, but he regains control with his fingers before I get there. He starts to laugh, and I smack him in the arm.

"How are you not dead yet?!"

Aaron stops laughing immediately, and sets both hands on the wheel. 10 and 2.

"There have been a few close calls."

I shake my head, "And you don't learn?!"

His eyes soften a bit as he whispers, "Sometimes I forget there's other people in the car."

I purse my lips, but don't break his gaze. After a split second he returns his focus to the road, and I slink in my seat a bit.

"How far is this pizza place?" I ask, as he changes the radion station and turns the volume down. He shifts in the seat, and doesn't answer me.

"Aaron?"

Nothing.

"Aaron?!"

He rolls his eyes over to where I'm sitting, "Um. Like, an hour?"

I narrow my eyes at him, "What."

He bites his bottom lip. "It's this amazing place in my hometown. But my hometown is an hour from here."

I feel like banging my head into the console. But I feel like that might make things worse. I run a hand haphazardly through my hair, and sigh through my nose. "Fantastic."

Aaron starts to jump up and down a little in his seat like a little kid. "Hey, you wanna play a game?"

I raise an eyebrow at him and cross my legs so I can face him better. "What did you have in mind?"

He turns the radion completely off and grins. "Would you rather."

I crack all my knuckles before replying: "Bring it on."

"Would you rather eat a piece of molded bread, or a chewed up stick of gum?" He asks me on his seventh turn.
