Ever played dominoes? Personally I'm no good at it. I have no patience whatsoever. But let's say you set up like fifty dominoes. If someone came along after you'd knocked them all over, they probably wouldn't be able to see the first domino if they were standing near the last domino.

They'd have to backtrack to find the domino that started it all. The one that began the chain reaction.

It happens in life just like that. One day, you'll find yourself somewhere looking down at a pile of knocked over dominoes. And you have to backtrack in your mind to find that first domino-that first moment that changed everything.

You didn't know that day would change your life at the time-it might've seemed completely normal. But looking back on it, it's unmistakable.

Looking back on my life so far, I can safely say that September 9th was my first domino.

I am late. And I'm not talking like five minutes late here. No, I'm talking like I-slept-through-my-alarm-seven-times-in-a-row-and-then-my-dad-couldn't-drive-me-to-school-so-I-had-to-walk late. I've completely missed my first class, and I blame it all on Amanda.

She called me late last night wanting to talk about the swim meet, and we ended up talking for a couple of hours. So we were both up really late. The problem is, Amanda is a morning person, and I am not.

I am like the freaking opposite of a morning person. If a morning person is Tom Hiddleston, then I am Loki.

I run into school and immediately fly over to my locker. Amanda is standing at her locker with some guy, but I don't even really notice because I'm too busy shoving books places.

Amanda walks over as I breathe out a sigh and that's when I realize there's a rather handsome, tall boy standing next to her.

He's not as tall as Aaron, but he's still got some height on me. Amanda smiles a little, (but her eyes screamed "be nice!") and gestured towards the boy. "Dylan, this is Dani. Dani, Dylan."

I shake his hand, and can't help but notice his blue eyes that stand out against his dark hair. "Nice to meet you, I'm Amanda's best friend," I say and release his hand.
