I woke up the next morning to find my alarm clock missing shit I grumbled I got up and ready at record speed dashing downstairs I rushed to Niki's room to check the time 7:01 holy shit I already missed the bus Niki left without me and if I didn't find a ride like right now there was no way I was gonna make it to school and no school means no practice.

I grabbed my phone trying to think who should I call the guys from the team like to leave early so I can't call them that leaves me with one option I dialed the number and waited it rang twice and then went through "Hello"? Oh um hey Bryant its Katie I was wondering if you were at school yet? "Huh uh no I like to leave late so I can sleep in what's up you need a ride"? Um well if its not too much trouble I can give you money for gas "Nah its no problem text me your address and I'll be right there no payment needed" thanks Bryant your a life saver.

I grabbed my bag and my baseball gear after sending Bryant my address information now more then ever I couldn't wait for practice. I watched Bryant pull up in a sleek black pick up he smiled at me as I climbed in "Well hey there beautiful going my way" he teased I rolled my eyes still blushing at the unexpected compliment as I climbed in the shotgun seat.

Morning I said with a light smile as he started off toward our school hey I asked as we hit a red light do you have any plans after school today? He ran a hand through his messy dirty blonde curls as his warm brown eyes met mine "No not that I know of why" well I have practice today and I was hoping you'd come all my other friends are on the team so I've never really had a friend to watch me play plus I was thinking after we could hang out get a bite to eat my treat for totally coming to my rescue twice.

"Really that sounds...fun" Bryant said surprise lacing his tone yeah really I said with a smile as we arrived at our destination he smiled at me once more as we walked to our first period together making small talk I could already tell that Bryant was gonna be a true friend and maybe today school wouldn't suck so bad after all.
