John, sword in hand, was smiling. "Knives are wonderful right? You slice, stab, and throw."

Hunter studied Jessica's dead body. He then smiled one of those creepy oh-that-kid-is-insane smiles. "You don't have a very good throw."

John's smile quickly faded. Instead of talking, he charged at Hunter. Since Hunter was on his knees, he quickly laid on his stomach and rolled into John's feet, causing him to trip and fall. He then rolled up onto his feet, quickly taking out his bow. He was at a disadvantage, being blind in his right eye. Hunter also may have been losing too much blood, but he wasn't entirely sure. Before he could even shoot an arrow, John was already on him trying to stab Hunter. Hunter grunted and tried to throw him off, but John was too heavy. The blood from Hunter's eye started to trickle down his face and into his mouth.

"You've always been number one," John said as he pressed his knife onto Hunter's neck. "Time to switch things up."

Before John could do anything further, Hunter spit a mix of blood and saliva into John's face. Taken by surprise, John look up and used his free hand to wipe it off. As this happened, Hunter took the chance and used his last bit of strength to roll John off of him. Hunter managed to get up, but he was getting dizzy. Blood loss, he thought. He looked at John and anger started to build up.

"I was never number one, John." Hunter said weakly. "It was only you who thought that. You used to be a good guy you know." Hunter tried for a smile. "I wish we knew each other better... The games screwed us up, yeah?" John turned to look at Hunter without a hate in his eyes. Hunter continued, "I would say it's the gods' fault, but then Zeus would strike me down." He laughed, and that's when he knew he was insane. "I just wish it didn't have to end like this." He notched an arrow into his bow and took aim.

John stood up and faced his body towards Hunter. "Me neither." He said, pulling his sword out of Jason's chest. And with those words he charged. Hunter side stepped from his war path and spun around. He took a deep breath and released his arrow. Just as John turned around, the arrow lodged into his gut. He stumbled back, but he didn't fall. "I'm going to go down fighting." John said as he charged once more. Hunter, surprised that John did not die, didn't have an arrow ready, so he used the bow to strike John's cranium. John crumpled, but not without his last bit of revenge. The twisted blade caught into Hunter's left upper thigh. The cut nearly hit bone, and it was going to be tough getting it out. Hunter sat down and took John's knife from the ground and with no remorse, ended John's life. Exhausted from the battle and weak from the blood loss, Hunter passed out.
