i couldn't bare to look shawn in the eye.

"so, what now?"

"now, we plan the wedding. my mother and father have been bothering me about it for a few months now. i wanted to make all the arrangements since i'm in line of the thrown to being king. but my mother said the least we could do is let you choose."

i rolled my eyes, scoffing.

"the least you could do? i don't need your money, or you. you're a real piece of shït shawn. i can't.. i can't believe you."

"of course you need my money. i'm a prince. you're lucky to even marry me, let alone know who i am personally."

i gritted my teeth together.

"shut your trap. i don't care whether or not you're a prince or a damn garbage man. if i'm gonna marry someone i'm going to marry someone who will love me for who i am. not because of some stupid treaty."

"paulina stop being so stubborn. you're just going to have to learn to accept the fact you're marrying me. since i just texted my mother about the news, we have an appointment with our chef on the cake tomorrow. you have to come with me and test which cake you'd prefer for the wedding. since you are choosing what you want for the wedding, every little detail."

can't shawn understand that i don't want too? me marrying this cocky son of a bïtch isn't going to solve any of his royalty problems. go marry rachel mcadams or something. you said you preferred older women anyways.

"why can't you just marry rachel mcadams or something? you said you were into older women anyways."

i spat, he chuckles.

"oh paulina. i would trade you in for her in a heartbeat. but i can't do that since my parents disapprove, and the treaty says i can't."

he pouts his lip. i stand up from his couch, not bothering to say my goodbyes. i walk around his house, looking for the front door. once i find it, i slam the door open, walking out onto his front lawn, and down a staircase. shawn races after me, as i angrily stomp away.

"paulina! hey, hey, hey wait!"

he screams out my name. i stop walking, i could feel shawn's presence behind me. he softly places his hand on my shoulder, i shrug it off vigorously.

"don't you dare touch me."

"paulina just promise me you'll be here tomorrow for the appointment. you can even stay here if you'd like."

he softly murmurs. i turn around to face him, tears running down my cheeks. shawn's face softens as he sees me break.

"do i look like i want to stay here? with you? you're a monster for playing me all these years. a bastard to think i'd be happy marrying you after pointing out my flaws. you're an idiot thinking i'd ever wanna be in your life anymore,"

shawn bows his head in defeat. my voice cracks with every word i say. it was true, i couldn't stay with him. i need time.

"just stay away from me."

shawn shakes his head.

"no can do, princess."

"yes, you dick."

in a swift movement, shawn grabs me by my waist, and throws me over his shoulder.

"let me down!"

i scream, pounding my fists against his back. he doesn't flinch, walking back to his house. i kick and punch, no use.

"the more you scream, the worse i'll punish you in bed once you're my wife, paulina."
