Hi so, I have scoliosis. Anyway I had a HORRIFYING dream about scoliosis. I have them sometimes. Anyway, this dream was me, my mom, and my twin sister, who doesn't have scoliosis. In the dream,my mom told me that I needed surgery. SURGERY. I DON'T WANT TO EVER HAVE SURGERY. I started to cry, in the dream. SO YA.
To give you an idea of my situation, let me start with this, I have uneven shoulders, scapula's, and hips. Uneven meaning that one of those parts in my body are higher than the other. Also my right leg is longer than my left, do to the uneven hips, and my right arm is longer than my left arm, do to my uneven shoulders. I also have occasional leg, arm, knee, and back pain. And the curves in my spine are 14 degrees and 23 degrees. The mark for a scoliosis brace is 25 degrees, but I got it now because I was growing a lot.
All of this is serious, but not as serious as it looks. The mark for back surgery is 50 degrees. In the surgery they put METAL RODS in you to make your back the way it is supposed to be. I have to wear my scoliosis brace for 4 YEARS. It sucks, but it is better than surgery.
I recently got got x rays done. Every 6 months you need to get x rays done to see how your spine is. I told the doctor about me knee, arm, and leg pains and he said it would be best to get my blood tested. As in take blood OUT of me to check for diseases and things. Not to mention the needle, although I'm okay with needles.
