Hey guys. Sorry I haven't updated in so long. First off, it is the beginning at National Scoliosis Awareness Month today. A whole month dedicated to us.
I went to an appointment to adjust my brace today. 2 guys came in, my original brace maker, and a second guy.
They had me bend down and they felt along my spine.
We were there for like 3 hours or more.
They kept putting it on, then taking it off.
They put new padding in and made it tighter. They kept asking me how I felt and I responded with fine and good all the time. My mom kept telling me that later I would be complaining. Her theory is by far, incorrect. My mom kept asking me if I was okay like, every 5 seconds, and I was ready to turn around and start yelling at her. If I weren't fine, I would have told her. It was getting really annoying, and I have a horrible temper.
The brace doctors want me to get an x ray with the brace on to see how much correction I am getting.
The brace doctors gave me copper circle things so that my mom can tape them to the new pads so they show up at the x rays and they could see if the pads are in the right place.
The doctors put my brace on over my clothes, I always were it under my clothes, and after my appointment we went to Marshalls. I have been out with my flannel on unbuttoned so people can see brace, but a lady asked what it was for. I don't mind her question, but what irritated me was that my MOM answered. I want to answer.
And I heard my mom talking on the phone with my dad, and she was all like "she can't even use the restroom" or "It's to tight", and I am just like, I haven't even tried to to the bathroom, and it is tight, but no use complaining. And then my mom would be like, "I'm going to loosen it when you eat" or "When you want me to loosen it, tell me." I CAN EAT FINE WITH MY BRACE, I DONT NEED YOUR PITY, AND I DONT WANT YOU TO LOOSEN MY BRACE. Like, seriously?
Anyway, I'm going to my cousins graduation tomorrow and sleeping over at my other cousins and grandma's house, so I probably won't update till Saturday when we get back, but if I have good wi fy, then I might update.
Also my cousins apparently have kyphosis, not scoliosis.
Plus, EVERYTHING on here is COMPLETELY, true. And my birthday is on July 2nd, so get me my presents.😶
Just kidding.
Bye, I think I was going to say something else, but I forgot what it was, so ADIOS.
