I woke up to see that Alison wasn't there and the shower running.I sat up in bed and rubbed my face, man having a hangover is not fun.I lazily walked to the WC and rummage for anything to help ease my headache.Alison peeked her head out of the shower, her hair covered in soap.
"If you give me a minute, I can help you."
She stuck her head back into the shower and I chuckled lightly.
"Alright,"I said groggily, "I'll wait.."
I sluggishly moved back into the bedroom, where I heard a knock on the door.Man if my head wasn't killing me I could answer it just fine.I open the door to see it's Jack, and I rubbed my eyes.
"Hey bud, what's up?"
"Can I talk to you for a minute?"He asked me.
I was having a bad headache, and it's even hard to even pay attention to him.
But I nod and said, "Just talk slow for me, I got a bad headache..."
He nodded as I let him in, "I'll let Alison know you're in here."
He didn't say anything;that, or I couldn't hear.I rolled my eyes and went into the WC and told her, when I came back Jack was fiddling with his thumb.Something was up.I cleared my throat(Wishing I didn't) and Jack looked at me.
"What is it you wanna talk about?"
He let out a sigh, "Okay...Remember when we were young...and how we were separated...?"
....How could I forget...

I was eighteen, Jack was ten, we were in the forest on a cold December night. We were looking for food to eat and some dry wood to make fire with, I was holding my father's knife, the one he gave to me when I was younger. We were moving slowly just in case there were rabbits nearby.
"Max...?"Jack whispered to me.
"Yeah little buddy?" I whispered back as I stopped walking.
He raised his arms up and made a grabbing motion with his hands, only when he's tired of walking.I sighed and picked him up, knowing I'll be the only one to find food.
"Alright little buddy..."I whispered.
After a few minutes I heard a crack, like a twig breaking.I set Jack down and told him to stay quiet, holding the knife as a defense weapon.I moved forward cautiously, having one hand out with the knife and the other holding my brother's hand.
I heard another crack, making me turn around, only to see nothing there.I heard what seemed to be a scream and my curiosity got the best of me.I could feel jack pulling back onto the main path, but I told him to stop and if he wanted to, he could go back.He didn't, of course.
We reached an opening and my eyes were in shocked and fear. There, in the opening, was half of a deer.I looked around to see if the....thing that killed it was still around. When it looked like it was safe, I headed toward the deer, holding my knife still.Upon closer examination, it looked like something ate the other half of it like a candy bar.I was about to touch it to see how long it's been like that when I heard a low growl.I looked around slowly and met with red eyes facing me from the trees.
I grab Jack and whispered, "You run when I tell you, you understand!?"
He looked at me and whispered back, "But-"
I cut him off, "Just do as I say, okay?!"
He nodded and stood behind me, I held up the dagger to my chest. The creature came out, it was a black wolf but big as a bear, it's red eyes still staring at me, and when it stand on it's hind leg, It almost looked like it was human!I twirled the blade in my hand, preparing for a fight.
