Chapter Nine

We got back to our camp just before the sun went down over the mountains.Me and Jack were walking side by side and talking about things, you know playing catch up.

Alison was walking beside me, holding my hand. I was smiling all the way, occasionally looking at her. I could see how her face shining from the light reflecting her face, making her into a goddess. Her emerald eyes looking ahead, pure green of her eyes will forever stun me.She was my goddess, my Queen, my everything, I remembered what I did to her, why... Why was I so stupid?!

"Hey Max, you okay? "Jack asked me.

"Huh, oh yeah...Yeah I'm fine. "I replied.

We all sat around and ate rabbit from one of the traps Jack and Zac made. Everyone was laughing and smiling, I missed these times. Around midnight we went to bed, I slept with Alison, even though I told her I could sleep outside.

"Max get your ass in here. "she yelled at me when I tried to make excuses.

Not wanting to piss her off more I abide to her demand.once I was inside I started taking off my top, but Alison stopped me.she mouthed, "sh"as she slowly moved down to my lower region. I don't remember much afterwards, I remember my clothes mixed with hers, our lips never departing, and our warmth from each other's bared bodies made it more heated. I woke up the next morning with Alison at my side, skin on my skin. I got up slowly, not waking her and I got dressed. I left the tent to go find wood for the fire.

Jack woke up to the rustling of someone's footsteps, getting up to investigate. He saw it was his Brother and jogged behind him.

"Max! Wait up! "he huffed.

Max stopped and turned to him, "Jack little bro, sleep well? "

He chuckled, "like you did?"

They walked at each other's side as Max tells him to shut it.

"So... "Jack said.

"... Jack? "Max asked him

"Hm? "

"Ever... Ever had sex? "

The question came at him out of the blue, "uh... Not recently, but yeah.. "

Max shook his head and laughed, "first time ever you were first at something. "

It took Jack a minute to realize what he had meant, and laughed with him.

"I guess so! "Jack implied.

Max patted his brother's back, "So Jack, you and... Zac huh? "Max looked at him, as if he knew along.

Jack was flustered, "W-what?! N-no way!! I-i... Okay fine yes we're together. "Jack sucked at lying to his brother, even back as a kid.

"I figured. You two are too happy together to be, 'just friends' " Max used air quotes on just friends.

Jack sighed and nodded, "Yeah, yeah."

Max looked at him, "Hey what's wrong?"

Jack looked at him, "I really missed you bro..."

Max nodded, "I know,..you must be pissed that I left you at that doctor's facility."

Jack nodded, he was a little, but he was more sad by it than mad.

"Max, why did you leave me there...?"Jack finally asked him.

"...The doctors kept pressuring me to leave.when I had came back the next day, you were gone."
